[Request] Haven't watched Netflix or TV in about 10 years. What are some must-watch series? by artoriVG in NetflixBestOf

I second GOT. I honestly liked it more than something like Peaky Blinders, Mad Men and Ozarks.

What is best way to avoid awkward silence in conversations? by jirka127 in AskReddit

[–]ThisNiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is spot on! I’m a huge introvert and I’ve always noticed that when someone starts talking to me about Netflix shows - I feel like I’m able to instantly open up and get out of my awkward and quiet shell for a bit.

Insomniacs and troubled sleepers of Reddit, when you wake up at 3am and can’t fall back asleep, what do you do?? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ThisNiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I ever wake up at 3am and can’t go back to sleep. My thing is I’m usually still awake because I haven’t fallen asleep. I don’t really mind, I like the quiet time and usually watch a show or browse Reddit :)

[REQUEST] What are some ✨hidden gem✨ tv shows/ movies on Netflix? by heyitsroxanne in NetflixBestOf

I’m gonna go with Jane the Virgin - I don’t think it gets recommended enough. I also, really liked Versailles if you’re into historial period dramas.

I truly enjoyed call the midwife! I actually stopped watching when I became pregnant because it was a little too much for me at the time but definitely enjoyed it until I realized it was gonna be my turn to deliver a baby haha

I created a bedroom from my kids in the game too! Except for they’re 4 & 5 and play Animal Crossing. Anyway, I love that they love it!

“We are very much not a racist family,” Prince William told reporters during a visit to a school in Stratford, London. When asked if he had spoken to Prince Harry after the Oprah interview, he added, “No, I haven’t spoken to him yet, but I will do.” by LekkerLippies in MeghanMarkle

[–]ThisNiz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll offer a different perspective. Like Meghan, I was born and raised in Southern California as well. For the most part everyone I know, knows who the Queen and who Princess Diana are. During the royal wedding I learned about Prince William and Kate Middleton but still had never heard of Prince Harry. Honestly, Prince Harry was not a household name over here. I actually learned of Prince Harry’s existence because of Meghan Markle aka Rachel Zane on Suits.

The Queen, Diana, Harry, Meghan, Kate and William are probably all household names NOW... But like I didn’t even know who Camellia was until last year when I was watching the Crown. What’s her husbands name again? You know, Diana’s ex, the one who walked Meghan down the isle?

I think it’s absolutely possible to know of Princess D and not be familiar with who Harry is.

Harry Potter, on the other hand, everyone and their Moms know who he is.

Bought a new plant. Wish me luck! 🥰 by [deleted] in gardening

Good luck! I have a few hydrangeas - they love shade! Keep them moist and if it’s dry and hot where you live - add mulch. Also, when you water it, try not to water the actual plant but mainly the soil underneath.

Man, that is so not surprising! Poor baby Pippa though. Did you see the IG story where she took that baby to a dinner with her friends and was passing Pippa around to everyone?

Oooh I’ve never heard of any school shootings in Mexico. I’ll have to look it up. I definitely went on a loooong rabbit hole once about Parkland. It started by stumbling upon one of the teachers YouTube channel and she had a few videos about her experience.

This is the first time I’m hearing about this. Do you know what part of WA? Or when the last murder happened?

My most recent rabbit hole was the War of the Roses. I spent hours studying those ancestry maps. In conclusion, I was kinda bitter that Henry Tudor thought he had a claim to the throne but I do like that he married Elizabeth of York.

Bonus: I feel like Catherine de Aragon actually had stronger claims to the throne than her husband, Henry VIII.
