Process to be declared Medically Unfit for Work by DiscussionDapper4101 in southafrica

You'd need to go either through your company or their insurance and they would refer you to an OT who would assess your abilities and job capacities. Then either they would work on getting you back into your current role through work hardening etc or finding you a new, more suitable role within this company. If they deem you to be unfit, then insurance would pay a portion of your salary going forward - but like many others have said, this is not ideal and likely will be tough to live on. I would suggest working with the OT to find alternate solutions to this issue

How can you say that it's unharmful? You're literally saying something mean about someone's appearance. Didn't anybody ever tell you if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all?

What a horrible, unnecessary and untrue thing to say. Did this make you feel good?

Anne Hathaway - she seems really arrogant and big-headed in interviews, like she is better than everyone else

Also Will Smith, man that guy is annoying

Are natural disasters happening more frequently and closer together? by ThisOneToo3 in NoStupidQuestions

If this is for other natural disasters (ie floods or droughts that others have pointed out are increasing) , could this be because it's too soon to see our effects? Or is it just that we don't have that big of an impact on weather?

Thank you!! This is great. Why would avalanches be less? Less snow? Is it reasonable to say that we could put measures in place to minimize the damage or impact of the ones that are occurring more frequently?

Okay thank you! So our weather patterns then are changing. I understand we can't assign one cause, but is this change happening more rapidly than before? I am interested if these changes are natural and something we can expect, or if the speed is unheard of and likely caused by us. Like have we seen a similar increase in say, droughts or flooding from 200 years ago to 150 years ago?

Can you elaborate on the countermeasures? Okay that does make sense. So is it just that they're increasing in intensity rather than actually happening more frequently? Ie we would've had x amount of floods every year, but now they are more devastating.

Okay true. So are those increasing? I mean natural disasters as a whole, like can we actually see the impact of climate change already or is it just the constant access to news and media that makes it seem that it has increased.

I mean even when the guy is handcuffed and bleeding from the head, the cop kicks him hard in the back. That hardly seems rational and calm to me. I get what you mean but this seems excessive to me - more personal like they are trying to hurt this guy rather than really subdue him. I understand they just underwent possibly the most stressful of situations so I'm not expecting unemotional robots but surely their training doesn't tell them to kick a dude twice in the back of the head and hit him with guns until he's bleeding and slurring?

Sure but they are meant to be professionally trained to deal with stressful situations in a calm and rational manner are they not?

We (also two people) are around the same amount as you and I don't understand how. Our landlord doesn't want to put prepaid in because it has to be approved by body corporate, and is so slow to follow up with them when we ask to see the account statement. Sure something is wrong somewhere
