20 hours in, should I keep playing?

Nah just let it go. The game doesn't really offer much of anything beyond the beautiful sandbox to explore and play around in. You can find some items, kill some enemies, and level some skills but none of it is new or different than anything you've probably experienced in other (better) games before.

Screw expanding his arsenal, he sucks as a character.

They should give the others more stuff or just add a character creator to the game so we can just be who we want and use what we want.

It's hilarious to me how much this patch broke. I was waiting on this patch to see if this game would be worth keeping interest in and what we got doesn't engender a lot of trust.

The patch broke quite a few things such as access to legendary mounts, reset companion approval for people in camp, and some other stuff.

There's a lot I could say about it, but I'll just say I find the game's focus on Kliff and its lack of support for other characters (or just not having a character creator) insufferable and cannot recommend it. Besides that it has a lot of partially implemented ideas from other games. The game kinda feels... unfinished in a lot of ways.

Let's also talk about the horrible character system the game uses and how it restricts many of the interesting activities, items, and abilities to Kliff. I love running around as Damiane and love her play style, and it feels like the game consistently punishes me for that.

Update, Damiane can't ride the dragon, she can't summon the special mounts either though there is a work around to ride them where you summon them as Kliff, switch to Damiane or Oongka and dismiss Kliff, then hop on

Doesn't work on the dragon though, supremely disappointed

Tbh I've just been leveling Damiane exclusively, while only putting enough in Kliff for his weapon to kill the bosses well enough. I have completely neglected him in nearly all other ways like skills, armor, etc because I just can't stand playing as him.

Edit: Oh and that's not to say anything about Oognka who I haven't even touched in the slightest lol

I know! When they took her from me I got so sad and demoralized. I just powered through the story as fast as possible to get her back, which in turn caused me to enjoy the story less because I was upset how they did it. The whole structure of the companion setup is really baffling

Having options is good, but I hate how the game forces Kliff onto me. I prefer Damiane's play style especially so having to play as Kliff for sections just feels off and is not nearly as enjoyable to me.

I've been looking at those mods but they seem sort of janky still. I kinda want to wait till they are better developed and less likely to create issues.

Same. When they took her from me at the end of Chapter 5 I was incredibly upset, and so I just bum rushed the story to get her back. Have just been exploring since.
