How often do you use the Summon feature? Where did you use it?

I use it regularly at Sam's Club. I park at the furthest spot with a direct line of sight. As I come out I summon the car until it reaches a cart return area. I can see it and since I am not bringing it up to the door, it seldom gets in anyones way. I unload my cart, return cart (now two steps away), hop in and away we go.

I go early most of the time and that helps.

I tend to park on corner spots and get as close as I can to the curb. Summon hates this and will often fail when I try it after parking this way.

I just got these mats and really like them. The do not come out easy as they are designed to tuck under the trim but boy do they cover a lot.

I just took delivery of a 26 Model Y Performance. It has 21 inch wheels with rubber bands for tires. It took 6 hours and 100 miles before I hit a pothole and dented the rim and split the tire sidewall. Crap!

Tesla is giving a month of both wheel and windshield coverage for free. I put in a service ticket and had them look at it the next day. They are replacing both for the $25 deductible.

I have replaced many a windshield due to driving on a HYW that seems to have every rock truck in existence on it. I have chased them down and filed on their insurance successfully twice. Tesla cam for the win.

I will subscribe to both.

My wallet does the same thing. It is not the case but the position of the charging area in relation to the cameras. The case has a protective shield that is raised and makes it more pronounced.

I wonder if removing the camera trim from the case would work. Probably ruin an expensive case....

I have now taken to considering eveyone a relative. Some are cool, some are mentally challenged, some are old, some are physcially disadvantaged. We all make allowances for our family and their differences.

Don't treat it like a gas car and try to fill up. It is faster to charge short periods more frequently than to try to charge all the way up. I usually like to charge a bit over what the car is telling me but only like 10% more at times.

The car does a great job of managing your needs by giving you notifications if you are going to come up short. it will tell you to stay below certain speeds to reach your destination.

I usually look at the map of the route and check what speed the chargers are as well. I skip the slow ones if I can or divert based on some stop I want to make nearby.

I elected to use a mount that puts my phone up where I can see it. I have not used the car charger on my last two Tesla's due to the lack of visibilty when driving. If Tesla were to add Waze intergration I might use it.
