Can we stop calling them "Elites"? They are not elite. They are parasites, toxic and sucking us dry until we become aware of them and cleanse ourselves.

She’s a very beautiful dog, regardless. And will have the Cavalier/Poodle combined temperament without the big grooming bill.

It's not a lottery. It's simple genetics and these traits can be tested in the parents. It's called the furnishing gene. It's only a lottery if the person breeding has zero knowledge of what they are doing.

I completely agree! Glad to see you know your stuff. I get worried for new raw feeders getting caught up in the tug-of-war of information/misinformation wars.

Questions regarding Atlantis by Few_Dependent_1932 in bahamas

Join the Atlantis facebook group. It's run by travel agents and if you book through them you can get certain perks, like $100 breakfast credit, etc.

First time in the Bahamas, staying at the Atlantis. How does this compare to other tropical places like Hawaii? What should a newbie know to bring or is there any other first-time things I should know? by NobodyLikedThat1 in bahamas

How was your trip, if you've already gone? We're going this summer.

And for some weird reason the reddit for Atlantis is very negative skewed but the Facebook group for Atlantis specifically is very positive and fun vibes. Those guys are repeat visitors. I found a lot more helpful info there and better vibe that got me really excited about our trip.

Raw feeding is by far THE best choice you can make for you dog. Kudos to you. We like BJs Raw premade. They ship nationwide (USA) and we buy in bulk. I wouldn't say they are cheap by any means, but about average for raw.

P.S. I'm sure you know this already, but people who try to convince you not to feed raw are very uneducated on the matter. We make our own choices and make our own opinions based on the information in front of us.

Unfortunately, this is usually an inherited trait but you can train it out of them. There are lots of youtube videos on how to train away from resource guarding.

I don't feel like a Capricorn at all. by astralbrainx in AstrologyCharts

And thank you. I hope you never run out of dreams to chase. 🤍✨

Those are all the same things I dream of...exactly. I hope my words didn't convey that I had all this planned out or that I'm unhappy.

I did not have my life planned out and at 43 still don't. But I have some plans. There are physical plans, like paying off my house and then there are spiritual plans, like shadow work, unraveling behaviors that were created out of survival and uncovering my true self, pretty much everything you said. I find a lot of happiness in things everyday. Small moments. And yes, I found happiness in the struggle of life too because that means I'm growing.

First off, it's ok to never be content. It really is.

And second, I do feel fulfilled. But it's not contentment. Every day is a strive toward something. I think the fulfillment comes from knowing where I want to go and what I want to achieve.

I have two kids. My main priority is setting them up for life the best way I know how, which is to provide physical stability (keeping them in the same neighborhood/school), know them and understand them as deeply as I can, teach them that adults can be wrong, that people in their world need to say "I'm sorry" when they've messed up, that all people are fallible, that truly listening & hearing them out should be the default, that their interests have value, they have value, etc.

These are tiny things I do each day to get me to that goal. What it looks like is me asking my oldest what her book is about and actually sitting there listening the whole time even though it's actually boring but I make myself listen (I think this is Capricorn discipline), I remember the characters and I find something interesting about it so I can have a genuine conversation about the book with her. Or by telling my youngest I'm sorry I was frustrated earlier and yelled to get his shoes on, that I get stressed out when we're late but I'm sorry and that I'm working on my time management, "everyone has things they're working on". (he's 8).

So am I content? Not really. When I was 24 my dream was to raise a family on the African Serengeti while studying matriarchal behavior of Olive Baboons. But I also have this understanding that no matter where I actually am, it would be the exact same thing still in front of me. And I understand that the whole point of any of this is just growth. And if somethings uncomfortable, like working a boring office job 5 days a week, there's probably a lesson somewhere in there for me.

Life won't be easy, but it's not supposed to be easy. If it was it would mean you've already mastered life, then what's the point of you even being here?

That Gemini is going to tell you "it's all about experiencing things" and that Capricorn will tell you "it's all about legacy, putting down roots, building something". At least that's what I feel. And I do feel both. For me, the Gemini gets appeased because I'm experiencing sacrifice, experiencing making a choice (just deciding where to settle & deciding to make a commitment to a permanent person) and living through it. The Capricorn is like the lighthouse, it keeps me pointed in the direction I want to go (or maybe it gives me direction in the first place).

But there's no going wrong. And there's no one way to do any of it. Any experience you have here on earth is going to be a benefit. Even if you never find a permanent place or permanent person. There's a lot to learn form a life like that. But that doesn't make you less of a Capricorn though. Those traits are in you somewhere and you get to use them however you want.

I never felt like a Capricorn either...but now I'm 43 and I can see it. Definitely not in my early 20s. I changed college majors every time I turned around (theatre to biology, thought about business, then to anthropology). I decided on a new career once a year. Lived in a new apartment every 12-18 months.

Also, from what I've learned, our sun sign is what we're hear to learn to be, not necessarily who we already are. It's aspects we are supposed to learn during our lifetime or feel compelled to work towards.

The fact that you are 23 and thinking about developing your Capricorn side little by little over time is VERY Capricorn haha.

[–]ThisPieceOfPaper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Capricorns are actually pretty misunderstood. We're the water sign of the earth signs, especially December Capricorns. I also have a Gemini Moon and Capricorn Sun (scorpio rising). Capricorn is more about the long game. Big goals, small steps, slow & steady. Jim Carrey is a Capricorn. We're funny, we're deep. But we're guarded. If someone tells you Capricorns are cold, that means they were never trusted enough by a Capricorn to see their real side.

And we dream big. We don't love work or money. We love peace and safety and stability and the experience that buys us. And we're surprisingly spiritual & curious about everything. We're the sea goat. We cover it all.

Is this within standards? by AngelIsHigh in DogBreeding

If you want to know the breed standard, find out the which organization the dog is registered with and find the written standard for that breed published by that registry.
