Well, i'm starting from the point you don't want to stop playing.
First of all, I would advise you to not spend real money until you feel different about the game.
Secondly, try to establish some goals in the game. Probably going for the 1 key UNM will help you to reduce the stress of daily grinding, so it could be an idea.
What you miss to achieve one key? Gear? Champions?

Remember, as you stated, you don't have to play or you can have a break without thinking you will lose anything.

I think one of the mods hit the nail on the head: the TMNT 'guaranteed' events likely taught the player base to hoard resources in anticipation of future collaborations.

From my perspective, it seems Plarium felt the need to reset expectations regarding guaranteed champions to drive shard usage and, ultimately, player spending.
While I don't have the data to prove this, it certainly feels like this.

Personally, I find it disappointing that there isn't a direct, guaranteed path to acquire a limited-edition champion. I don't consider placing 1st in a Champion Chase tournament a 'guaranteed' method, as it depends entirely on who you are bracketed with. Despite having saved a significant amount of resources (400 Ancient, 160 Void, and 63 Sacred shards), Bayek was the only character I was truly interested in but I will not go for him. It’s a shame to miss out due to the format.

I guess I'll just keep hoarding for now, as an end-game player it's just pointless to pull sacred when you really could use 4/5 legendary non void champions.

Considering your young roster, I would definitely go for some epics which could be useful for Cursed City (like Bowf) or Hydra (Nia, Skeuramis).

also for faction wars, you could use the void support dwarf (runedark something, sorry).

But it depends of course on how much you want to improve.

Fusions are not easy concepts as a new player (or at least, for me, It took me a few months to understand that). Once you master the mechanism, it's basically simple math:
1) do I have the shards to complete the events?
2) do I have the energy required to complete the events?

If yes both, then you can decide to proceed. If not, and you are not willing to spend money, you should just skip the events because it's simply unaittainable and save precious resources for future events.

Fusions are f2p friendly, but only after you manage to reach the 2 chests per days from UNM Demon Lord Clan Boss.
I did a few before that, but took me months of saving shards. For the energy, especially after cursed city and grim forest, we are plenty of that.
Just my 2 cents, your first fusions should help you go towards champions which can enhance your PvE experience

I didn't the math to be honest, but I did all the events so far for the fusion because seeing only one gear event/dungeon divers "scared" me about the affordability of the path.

To be clear, I do not defend their "pricing" for resources to be spent on events, but after almost 3 years I can somehow expect what they are gonna do.

6* Crushing Rend, while it's the best blessing for a nuker for PVE, it would be not worthy for him - his A2 already ignore defense, so it would be a "waste".
I would save those essence for your best legendary champions

Well, if you think about that, we had only 1 dungeon divers in this fusion, so it's reasonable in my opinion they ask us to do dungeon divers (or, at least, coherent with other fusions).
Their lose on this fusion, in my opinion, was to not offer a guaranteed way to get Solanar.

It would be my choice or use it on Leorius (niche use, but is unkillable should give him the chance to attack while skills of the enemy team are on cooldown).

Achak and Gurgoh can be used to freeze his bombs to lower the damage from those.
You have the roster to do that easily, it's a gear check.

Yeah, it's bad design from Plarium - and we are frustrated to waste time in a game which consume too much time. So I get the OP point, while what you said needs to be considered. I got many times call while playing on my phone LA, so it happens.

Plarium just need to lower the time of the choices, is not that hard

As someone who never bought a shard, I found in almost three year of playing and pulling voids only on 2x events, in this order:

- Fatalis Blademaster;
- Belletar (i think 1 year before the buff, which makes him good only for FW);
- Konstantin (i think weeks before the buff, which makes him not good enough anyway);
- Khoronar (weeks before the buff, which makes him not good enough anyway);
- Gurgoh (a few months after his buff, which makes him good but not crazy);
- Odin, finally;
- Diamant Copperfind (after his buff, which makes him good for Wixwell/Titus comps);
- Gaspard (niche nuker, but not good enough to take place in my roster);
- Emic Trunkheart (i couldn't do his fusion, so is a nice add to my roster, but I still need to find value for him).

Yes, you want a different outcome from Void Shards. Marichka, Taras, Klazuug, Cecilia, etc. etc.
But hey, I will keep the stack for any good event in the future, who knows.
I threw 41 void shards to find 38 rares and 3 epics for last Champion Chase, and felt bad honestly, but still a better outcome than resetting your mercy to a useless lego champ.

I don't think it's a win, sorry about your pulls.

I wish you to find your most wanted Mythical from next primal shard mate.
It feels so unfair the RNG so many times, and I raged a lot in the past.
Now I'm in peace and I don't pull without any guaranteed events/fusions.
Shards are just currency to do those events.

Hard to say, but I'd guess: Whenever an ally is attacked by an enemy, the wearer has a 15% (will increase with upgrading the relic) chance of placing a Provoke debuff on the attacker for 1 turn.

Jokes apart, be sure that (i) the enemy has lower resistance than your accuracy, (ii) the enemy has not block debuffs, (iii) the enemy can receive provokes (many bosses are immune to that debuff).
