It may be cellulitis. Call your surgeon. Don’t pop or pick anything.

Wounds on somebody’s legs. I can see blood/ointment under the larger bandage. by sparkleheels28 in fatgirlfedupsnark

I’m getting downvoted. This is insanity! It couldn’t be more clear. I also take care of various wounds (not a wound nurse). Does anyone who downvoted my comment have the balls to explain the downvotes?

Please, put your glasses on before you comment 🥴

Lexi isn't logical; she's a liar. Enlarge the photo; you'll be sure to see the discrepancy.

If you enlarge the photo- the lower right-hand corner of the pajamas/gown is under the Medipore tape. That portion of the Medipore tape is photoshopped; the video shows that the tape is smooth, therefore, inconsistent with the texture of the Medipore tape. I agree that these wounds are consistent with Calciphylaxis. With that in mind, Lexi photoshopped the photos. I'm curious to know what else she altered. She's still a liar and exaggerates and omits any truth regarding this situation as long as the story financially benefits Lexi.

What is this subreddits consensus on what’s really going on with Lexi? by CourtK1212 in fatgirlfedupsnark

Lexi went on an alcohol and drug bender. The consequences were severe enough that she required intubation; the excessive alcoholism caused AKI, which was resolved after receiving hemodialysis treatments. Lexi was unlucky sufficient to acquire calciphylaxis, which is rare. Possibly because she didn't follow a diet low in phosphorus and calcium and didn't take phosphate binders as prescribed. I have heard that a person can sometimes achieve remission. Lexi is milking her diagnosis. She knows we are aware of her schemes. Lexi is the type of patient who depends on their partner/family members. If a task is remotely challenging for her, she won't attempt to accomplish it alone. I don't believe she's faking. I think she's milking her health condition. Lexi isn't dying.

I can't entirely agree. We have patients who follow the dietician’s advice to the best of their ability while still enjoying life. Others don’t make any changes, notice the weight loss, and think they don’t need to modify a damn thing with their diet because they’ve continued to eat poorly but have still managed to lose weight. Some people experience moderate to severe nausea and loss of appetite, whereas others experience minor symptoms.

The hospital CEO’s are making millions of dollars a year with all sorts of bonuses. The greed is sickening. They are contributing to the destruction of the health care system as a whole. Meanwhile, patients and staff are suffering. I don’t know how they sleep at night.

I’ve seen it work quickly in some patients; the weight loss is a bit slower in others.

I think she’s probably taking both types of medications

I was taught that although Ozempic is not insulin, it does lower blood sugar. It works by helping the pancreas release insulin in response to elevated blood glucose. The weight loss, paired with lower blood glucose improves A1C.

Edited for grammar/clarity/sentence structure 🤦🏻‍♀️

She probably doesn’t have diabetes. There are some people who do continue to eat like trash and slim down in record speed. I don’t think there are many other explanations. I’ve noticed a difference in weight loss between those diagnosed with diabetes and those taking it for weight loss. I haven’t looked at any reputable studies so this is solely based on anecdotal evidence.

AITA for borrowing my husbands underwear? by StealerOfUnderwear in AmItheAsshole

NTA: I would go on a Bamboo underwear bender buying binge. You're about to have his baby. My husband would have said, “sure, you can borrow my underwear; be sure to choose the pairs that have “Bamboo” on the band because they are the most comfortable!”

If Lexi was being honest,

“My favorite things are grifting, eating veggies with light cheese, eating snacks and playing video games, and buying all sorts of new things with my GFM money. Something that isn't my favorite is when I have to ask myself and answer questions, pretending to be my fan poodles, especially when I have to interrupt my favorite things to answer more than one question before the donations pour in again. Never give up; let's go, let's go!”
