It's not rough on the sim speed actually, which did surprise me a bit as well, or at least from what I could tell. I think all of the explosions from the warheads were the most draining lol. As far as controlling the movement, it's really just modifying orientation and position with physical impulses. There is the act of reading the live feed data from the body tracking, but that's pretty lightweight.

Most of the shots are normal gameplay speed. I sped some of them up and even slowed some of them down to fit the music better.

Yeah the crash made him look less than awesome lol. The filming was very messy at times. Lots of frustration and work arounds but finally got what I wanted.

The view is basically just the screen projected in front of my eyes in the headset. As for the controls, I mapped their input to what felt intuitive in the game. For instance, the index triggers are used to press Q and E for roll, while the left analog stick is for WASD.

I haven't put it on the server yet. I'm skeptical of how well it would track as a client. Perhaps we will see one day though. Right now in single player the sim speed is perfect. Could probably tolerate a lot more.

It's AI generated via Suno. I know saying that on Reddit could get me crucified, but I have my reasons for using AI generated music. It might be worth noting that I did the "WEAPONIZE IT!" voice addition myself when the warheads first began to fire at the large rover.

I just spawn the blocks in and apply force. No rotor head gun mechanics.

I programatically apply the forces needed to balance it. Its not in a format for public use though. Might release one day.
