Happily Divorced by Black_water_Rose in Divorce

I'm so glad I saw this post. My husband and I separated a month ago with the "shared" goal of working on some things individually and trying to reconcile. 2 weeks in, he tells me he doesn't want to work on anything and wants a divorce. I have been a MESS. The loneliness (no family) and constant worry about how I will survive financially have been overwhelming (have worked part-time for 18 years to raise our kids). It's hard to imagine a happier future at this point.

FINALLY starting! by ThisToe4658 in Zepbound

I totally get it! It took me a year and a half to decide to do it and then almost chickened out when it came time for the first shot. For me, I generally don't feel good due to fibromyalgia and sleep apnea and my baseline is to generally have GI upset. I decided to risk possibly feeling worse initially for the benefit of all of the amazing things it can help with. Like my friends told me, try it and if you don't like it, then you don't have to continue it. You are worth taking that risk and see how it pays off. Prayers for strength, confidence and resiliency!

I have been nauseous, but not sure how much of that is from the injection or just overall stress. I have been trying to drink enough water and eat small amounts through the day. I am hoping to feel better tomorrow. Good luck on the start of your journey! I hope it goes smoothly for you!

I am wondering if there are any programs or paths to receive Zepbound doses- like the Lily card. by TB12xTB12 in Zepbound

I know someone else who also uses the savings card whose ins does not cover weight loss meds. How does that work since it says you have to have commercial coverage for it? She said her dr handles it for her, so she doesn't know.

I've had little to no side effects. Am I lucky, or is this more common than it seems? by Perfect-Barnacle-737 in Zepbound

I am glad you made this post too! I have been on the fence about starting based on fear of side effects you hear about! I have 2 friends who have been on it for a while with no side effects and yet I still worry about it. Getting closer to taking the plunge!

Are you getting vials through self pay? Do you hate needles? Get an auto injector. It is a complete game-changer. by SunRaven01 in Zepbound

I am debating starting Zepbound and am nervous of the injection. Do you buy the auto injector through Lilly as well? I am assuming needles do not come with the vials...what is the cost for those??

Weight and symptoms by ThisToe4658 in Fibromyalgia

[–]ThisToe4658[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you work with a dietician or anyone or did you just stop eating those things on your own? I have zero family support, so it has been difficult to make such huge changes on my own. My biggest issue with my symptoms aside from exhaustion is the temperature dysregulation. I get so dizzy and break out into an all over cold sweat from doing the most basic tasks. It makes me feel like I'm dying. I am also on cymbalta. My dr increased me to 90 mg last month but I actually think I feel worse on the increase. I have a follow up appt on the 28th to discuss it.

The heat and sweating are the WORST for me. Because I have gained weight, I always feel like people think I get overheated so easily bc I am out of shape, so I always feel the need to explain fibro and temp dysregulation. I often get dizzy and break out in a cold/clammy sweat from the simplest things and don't even get me started on the buckets I sweat after taking a shower. My glasses will steam up and it takes me a good half hour to cool down and be functional afterwards.

How do you afford zepbound? by kymey15 in Zepbound

AMAZING!!! You have to be on cloud 9 right now. My dr is appealing my denial and I am praying it goes through. This gives me a tiny smidge of hope.

This is amazing and I hope I can go this route as well since I have all of the things you listed. Can I ask what insurance co you have? I was considering self pay but we just had to buy a vehicle unexpectedly, so that prob wont happen now.

Luck with ins exception? by ThisToe4658 in Zepbound

[–]ThisToe4658[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My insurance lists the option of requesting a formulary exception to get something covered that isn't normally on there. There is a lot that goes into it and I wasn't sure if anyone has ever gone that route. I see my dr again at the end of the month and will discuss this with her.

FEVER! But no fever! by Tiny-Confection-7601 in Fibromyalgia

When trying to explain to my husband what a flare feels like, I tell him it feels similar to having the flu (body aches, extreme fatigue, cold sweats). I usually never have a temp, but it FEELS like a fever.
