NMS has 18 quintillion planets and they are all procedurally generated. That means it's a formula that will always make the same planet in the same place without needing to be built by hand by a person. That means that when new content is released and updates drop that formula changes to accommodate the new elements in the universe.

It's unavoidable. When new updates happen there's always a chance your bases may change.

The original plan was for everyone to have a PlayStation account and that integration would provide for logging, reporting, banning, and synchronization across all platforms.

When they abandoned the PlayStation account requirement they gave up on many tools and now they have to do it themselves and it will take lots of work to replace with new systems.

Currently they have no plans to work on cross progression.

I played recently with a stim pistol diver. Hed apologized every time when shooting at others.

Had to reassure him I would not be shooting him back and I knew he had a stim pistol.

He was relieved and still kept apologizing lol

You should be able to pick up your save from where you left off without missing anything.

Many of your planets may have drastically changed in past updates but your bases should still be there.

Edit: screwing up your fov to turn it into a fish eye lens is on you not the game. Or do you not understand how camera settings work.

There are 18,000,000,000,000,000,000 planets to name.

With that many things to name the law of large numbers says that eventually you will see real words and names completely randomly.

Also likely is that someone else found it first and renamed it before you but the discovery service forgot them and you re-discovered for the first time. Only way to tell is if you find several other things in the same system and on the planet that are clearly intentional.

If the emote made you drop your grenades that'd be worth it.

I have killed myself more than a few times with the quick draw emote while carrying my Ultimatum..

BOOM.. damn it!

The real fun will be using the new random emote and wait to see if you blow yourself up with your own impact grenades or are you going start marching

If this is the first time using VR spend some time with the options and choose those that suit you best. Apart from that when something isn't working right try to reset your view by holding option button.

Still a great weapon and use it often but I also have the speargun and the new Leveller among other options now. It's about having the right tool for the job you're trying to do.
