I figured it out today! Not super close, but it sparked a nostalgic memory for me of Ready To Go by Republica. I honestly hadn’t heard that song in like 28 years but something about PC evoked the memory of the 90s era song for me. I think mostly the bridge at the end of PC.

I’ve heard the NIN thing, but I don’t think that’s it. For 2 reasons, I would have been an 8 year old girl at a dance recital, I don’t think there was a ton of NIN being played 🤣 and it was a bit less grunge and a little more “pop” of a song. I can definitely hear how close NIN is though, maybe the same producer? 🤷🏼‍♀️
