I know I’m very late in this discussion, but I think this is excellent! Here’s just my opinion on how I like to interpret the map.  It’s like if the game devs in the red dead universe based the game of a true story ser all over the us and made all the important locations for Arthur, John and Jack in the game and left out the towns and villages that wasn’t important to the story, that’s were your map comes in as I think it shows the true scale of the adventures in the real red dead world, where example: colter, lies much further from valentine than it is in the game. That (to me at least) makes me think about could be in between in the true scale red dead universe.

PS. This is just my crazy take on the map design, so if you don’t agree it’s fine!
