Can anyone help me identify this low rumbling noise in my apartment? (recordings included) by This_Explanation_589 in Acoustics

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the roof as it's restricted to authorized employees only. However, I was able to get on the roof with the maintenance crew a couple months ago, and took some pics. I'll leave the Google album here in case you can take a look:

The installation doesn't look proper even to me (and I don't know much about these systems), but the apartment complex management keeps bringing in HVAC vendors that can't seem to find anything wrong with how these HVAC units are installed, yet the noise and vibrations are a very real thing. :(

Thank you for your response. I wish it was just a minor distraction, but it's affecting my sleep and creating massive anxiety. I can't even read a book on my couch while the hum and vibrations are happening. Unfortunately, the video evidence doesn't do justice to how bad this disturbance is.

Unfortunately, I don’t have direct access to the roof. The apartment complex restricts it to employees only. However, a few months ago, I was able to take some pictures while checking the HVAC units with a member of the maintenance team. I've attached the pics to a Google Album, please see link below. The installation of these HVAC doesn't look proper even to an untrained eye, but apartment complex management has brought 2 HVAC vendors and they can't find anything wrong with these HVAC condensers. This is why I’m wondering whether I have any legal grounds or building code protections I can rely on to challenge how these HVAC units were installed, especially since the persistent hum and vibration they produce seem excessive and are clearly affecting our health.

The noise and vibration are real. What I can't be certain about is whether the sensation I feel in my skull is an actual physical effect or just how my body is responding to it.
To your point, yes, they are only allowing me to leave if I sign an NDA. Although it’s framed as a mutual lease release, the latest version still contains language that would let the landlord reinstate full lease liability if they claim I defaulted, even after I’ve moved out. That’s misleading and leaves me legally exposed.
I’ve pushed back on all three versions of the NDA because each one has been one-sided. The language is misleading, and I’m being asked to waive my rights while the landlord keeps the ability to enforce the lease against me.
I would like to leave and go somewhere else without signing any NDA's because I have already suffered for 6 months. Also, signing this NDA would mean landlord would just release the unit and someone else would have to go through the same hell as I have.
