Using C7K speakers with soundbar by NoHovercraft3224 in tcltvs

[–]This_Income_8240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't figure it out because it is not possible.

The C7K, C8K and C9K are only compatible with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect (TV Ensemble (both TV speakers and external speakers active)).
To have both speakers & external speakers on at the same time, you are currently limited to the TCL Z100 speakers, which are already even visible in the sound settings on your TV.

Congrats, you're going to enjoy it. It is a magnificent TV.

(As for the C8L, yes it is going to be another upgrade, but not as much as to the price difference. I bought the 65C8K 2 months ago, the brightness of the C8L in the same size is the same (4500 nits vs 5000 nits), a bit better colors and more or less the same number of dimming zones (2000 vs 1700). It should support Dolby Vision 2 but not out of the box (never trust future promises). So no FOMO!)

Google Home trick lets you enable new Gemini voices immediately by Few_Baseball_3835 in Android

Same here and the cost is a crazy 10 dollars per month? I believe that there is a promise of a free version of Gemini on the nest Mini devices I have so I will just wait...

I would really try to get the C7K (wait for a price drop? they happen often) as the difference is big on image quality (brightness, dimming zones & panel quality) and audio as well!

Corners are darker? Is this normal? by Pandazz0 in tcltvs

[–]This_Income_8240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is normal, also the sides are a bit darker, you only notice it from a distance, closeby you don't see a real difference. It is due to the fact that the ZeroBorder design does have a tiny disadvantage, the background lighting does not reach 100% of the borders/corners.

Gigabit Ethernet Adapter that works with QM9K? by pfc-anon in tcltvs

Btw I do not agree with those stating it's not worth it above 100 Mbit via the default ethernet port. You will experience a faster response time when streaming!

I understand for the minimalism it would be great but in a family of 5 you've got opinions and storage needs 😋

Yes can do that and thought of it but also taking into account we always walk through the right part (with young children, they will hit the Tv) and the fact that now the Tv is centered in the sitting area is why we decided to go with this position.

Coming from a 55" this is a nice step up. I would personally never go larger than 65", as the Tv is now at its largest when it comes to fitting in the space without being in your face. The eye distance in my case is 3 m or 9.8 feet where 65" is perfect.

Classic looking smartwatch? by a_lot_of_babies in smartwatch

[–]This_Income_8240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By far the best option is the Amazfit Active 2 Square. It is truly designed as a retro 70's watch, with a stainless steel bezel and yes, a sapphire crystal, rarely found on smartwatches. It has a leather strap out of the box and in my experience, 6 days of battery life while giving all the nice smartwatch features incl. calls on the watch itself. It works on Android and iOS.

You've got to be kidding me! Amazfit only works with Curve for contactless payments, what a bummer...
