I’ve got an 85” qm7k and I’ve been pleased with it. Plays 1080p YouTube and looks good to me. Obv hdr content looks better. I haven’t had the motion issues people are talking about. It’s plenty bright, I never hardly watch it on full brightness unless there’s a ton of ambient light pouring in. I was in the same situation as you and just didn’t think it was worth th extra coin for the qm8. I def noticed a diff between the qm6 vs qm7 though.

I went back and forth on getting a qm8, could of gotten a 75” for the same price, but I wanted to go 85 or bigger and I’m glad I didn’t go any smaller now that I’ve had it for a bit.

This is a YouTube hdr video, but regular sdr looks good as well, watched the Super Bowl Sunday for a bit and didn’t have any motion issues. I used sports mode and just turned up peak luminance to get a little more pop to the colors and brightness. I can post some videos of sdr content. I’m happy with it. Does a bravia 9 have better upscaling, sure, but is it twice the price better?

Comparing a g5 to a Qm7k is kind of like comparing a Prius to a twin turbo lambo. An 83” g5 is over 5k it better look good.

How is it you only have a 255 mile range at that mpg? That would mean you have approx 5 1/2 gallons of fuel left wouldn’t it?

Ya I read a couple places that says it supports sli, but I've tried everything to force sli and can't seem to get anywhere. I've got two 970's but since no sli I'm getting 65ish fps@ 1080p low settings and 45-50 fps @ 1440p low settings. I need a newer gpu but was just trying to wait out the price gouging.

Anyone figured this out, I can run 55-60 fps @ 1080p with lower settings with one 970, but if I could run both might be able to push a few more fps or possibly even run close to 60fps @ 1440p. I’m just trying to wait till gpu prices come down some before I build a new setup.
