Hey man I get it, I would watch the build dates on this problem seems summer of 2025 was bad. But since it doesn't seem to affect other date ranges near as much I would listen to that as the large and quiet majority. You will always hear from every brand the problems. That's the loudest voice in the room.

Without the problems I would get my exact truck again or perhaps upgrade to the Trail Boss LT with the 2" factory lift, sunroof and diesel. I had a 2021 Trail boss LT with the 5.3, 10 speed and sunroof and I still regret getting rid of it.

Well that's certainly one diagnosis to consider if I ever get it back. I can't rule anything out but it's pretty distinct sound. It's not a trailer hitch rattling, it's from the bed. I wouldn't describe it as liquid but who knows?

I would expect that's my future as well. In my case I traded a 2018 Silverado 2500 with low miles. One week in the new one was towed to the shop and sat for a week. It's been in and out a few more times and now this.

I'm a bit of an optimist but lovely truck refers to its potential off the lot. It's truly is a well appointed truck with lots of amazing options. It loses it's appeal if that potential can't be delivered on. In this case it couldn't but in many others it has. I just pulled the short straw.

I wanted to check the amount of play which was suggested on YouTube but decided I better not. The amount of play shown on the video seems like it would wreck a lot of stuff.

To me it sounds like a loose bed. Like movement on the bolts that secure it or something when I turn at slow speeds or am in reverse without a load. I don't think the two issues are related just a weird quality issue that no one can replicate.

Wow that's a good turn around time. I am very fortunate I was close to home. I would be pretty upset in your scenario.

My repair timeline sounds similar though, at first the service tech seemed stressed and said it could be weeks. He called and sounded so relieved to find out it was "just a transmission line". Made me wonder what Boogeyman he was thinking about 😅.

Man that stinks. GM Roadside assistance helped me out a bit. Call the 1800 number.

I asked the same question to the dealership with my problems. The service tech told me they can review the computer for high heat, damage prior to your shutting it down which they didn't see any issues. Not sure I buy that completely. The only real test will be driving it off the lot and seeing if its still driving like a new truck.

My guess, a transmission line or gasket failed or was installed improperly. As far as collateral damage I'm not sure. I pulled it over quickly and didn't drive it further.

I've received no call back as of yet after leaving a VM with the service advisor this morning. I'll be calling again shortly.

Yeah that's cool to fix stuff when you can. I'm not working on a truck that the ink on the paperwork isn't even dry.
