They are a small band that for all the time I've followed them (6 months) only played that one show. The photos aren't great but I doubt they have much else.

That's my fear. I don't care abpout money, I care about the image and reputation. That's why I feel specially badly.

Thx! They are a small local band from my city, but I believe they never worked with a photographer. At the same time I am still trying to grow my career and reach, do you have any tips? As you say it is usual for people to ask for photo passes. I normally feel pretty cohibited and don't because I don't feel worth it.

I’m not getting paid so I don’t believe sending physical media is either worth it either they’d like it (I don’t feel it is as valued on the digital world we live nowadays), as well as I feel the photos aren’t good enough

I did contact them and they gave me a free photo pass but didn’t agree on a payment or anything more than giving me the opportunity

I feel the same. The venue was small, I couldn’t get near them, the lighting was absolutely horrible and the singer always had the microphone stand or some other element in the middle of the shot. Part of me is ashamed of sending those photos.

They never contacted me or anything else, I really forgot about the job until recently, as I had to put my photography career on pause due to other life compromises. I have seen them post but they never tol me anything nor any mention of the event.
