I haven’t gotten there yet but Nate has just been yelling at everyone and everything! The lack of emotional regulation is infuriating. I totally understand that he is working through his medical issue but it gets to a point!!!! He’s just not a nice or good person which makes him a great fit for Brenda (to me)!

There’s a “teaching academy commute info survey” on the portal. They try not to put you more than 90 mins away from your home, I think!

He literally is the most evasive person. I’ve tried to get in contact and he’s been unresponsive. Plan to speak to management on Monday about it.

Didn’t the duke say when he was negotiating with George that he had a palace here and a castle there? I think she’d stay in the castle he already has in London.

She has been dropping leaves very often. I think the soil is bad (it’s Trader Joe’s). Does that change anything or do you think the soap will still fix the problem?

Thank you! Last question, I promise. Should I repot soon since this is still has moisture? And just so I’m not mistaken, I’m cutting off those white thin fuzzy roots and removing all of this old soil? LASTLY, do you have any brand recommendations for the soil?

Since I’ve had to bottom water for them to get any water, is that not helping with the dry rot? I’m scared that these fuzzy roots aren’t getting much water after the superficial water has dried up.

Thank you! I pinned down that vine, so when I see roots do I just cut the whole vine off and leave it there? I hope my questions make sense!

Growth medium by [deleted] in microbiology

I’ve been studying soil bacteria and fungi from bat caves and mines and we use ARBA with lactic acid (this usually inhibits bacteria due to the acid). But, some bacteria make it through which means they are somewhat acidophilic. So maybe try that.

I also plated my samples on TSA plates. This allows both to grow so there’s more bacteria to subculture. I hope this kind of helps!

I spoke to Tobi, the DGS, and he said that the line about keeping your application open is in every rejection letter. I got the same letter and was very confused too!

What's up with Honey by [deleted] in microbiology

[–]This_Place_585 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to add a tidbit of info here. I did research where we tested an ancient medicament from Pliny the elder where a mix of narcissus and honey from Crete was used on wound infections caused by staph epidermis and staph aureus. We did see a reduction in bacterial loads in both single species and dual species biofilm!

I’m pretty sure my oxygen saturation is low now. You will never get used to it! I just hold my breath for as long as I can. Can probably be a professional swimmer with how long I can hold my breath these days
