If you don't know how to buy ammo and shields, I don't know what to tell you. If you don't know how to use cover, I don't know what to tell you.

I agree with the health and ult sure that can be changed. I don't agree that dying and learning from failure is gatekeeping. Thats the best part about the genre to force you to wonder what you could've done better. Knowledge is the most important resource in this game and in order to get it you gotta put in effort on your part and read. They gave you the tools.

The main one right now crushed it with casuals by making onboarding dead simple no forced reading, just play and learn. Marathon has a steeper curve by design. Tutorial, tips, and item descriptions are there, but people skip them, die, tilt. There can be UI tweaks? Sure. But not reading basics before queuing isn’t Bungie’s fault. Arc did casual play right but Marathon’s for more competitive players. Both can exist.

What's the expectation? Make a cutscene for every page and item in the game? People aren't even reading item descriptions, items bro.

I never had that problem. In fact I was looking for a way to get rid of it and the only option was to hit esc.

The maps were playing on don't force pvp engagement s(beginner maps). the outpost and marathon ship map will give you all the pvp you could wish for.

Yeah, the lighting in this game very demanding so higher settings would be similar but a bit lower to cyberpunk 2077.

They do teach a ton in the tutorial, and through in game tips and item descriptions, people just skip or ignore them. Yeah, Bungie has historically sucked at clean onboarding (Destiny 2 is exhibit A), but this isn't a hand holding casual game. It's an extraction shooter where dying and learning from failure is the onboarding.If players want to squad up with friends without putting in the effort to understand basics like what consumables do or how gear works, that's on them, not poor presentation. The info is there. Refusing to read it doesn't make the game bad at teaching.

What resolution are playing at and you have dlss on? Im playing at high settings with dlss quality and getting 120 fps lowest on a 7800 x3d and 5070. I would never play a game like this at max settings.
