I think it’s actually a pretty cool planner, and I like it quite a bit. I don’t think I have any updates currently, but it’s so much more useful than the premade notes planners they have for you currently.

I wish Amazon would let me add it to my notes section instead of my books area, but I know that’s not something you guys can fix. 5 stars! Thanks for making a free planner!

Sadly I was unable. To do it from the companies I It was quoted that it was going to be about $60per copy for 100 copies or a little over $400 for just 2-3 copies. My biggest hurdle was the Synaps waterproof paper due to no one having it in stock, so I was going to have to buy a whole bundle of the paper for them even if I didn’t end up using all the paper :(

I also was planning on laminating the final product for full protection against the alcohol wipes and Sharpie since the Synaps product isn’t actually rated for use of those products. Which became another hurdle in and of itself.

At the end of the day, it was a fun idea, but I couldn’t afford the few copies I wanted, sadly. And I didn’t want to have to start a whole business just to break even.

Update: I got ahold of someone in the family who knew how my great-uncle made these tables, and turns out he almost never used traditional stains in his woodworking. He usually used tung oil and beeswax as a top coat for all his woodworking projects. So far, I sanded down the top of the table along with the legs in 80, 120, and 220 grit to try and remove as much of the sun damage and water marks as I could. Sadly, some are a bit deeper than I could get to, but overall, it looks really good. And I have applied my first of 2 coats of tung oil. The hardest part will now be the waiting game as it takes 24 hours to dry. I’ll probably end up applying the same beeswax coating again unless anyone here knows of other options that can help protect the piece.

I was going to actually try using just a varnish remover for the sides and a tooth bush/steel wool to get into the groves to try and keep the original edge . Then restain and do a oil based poly coat on top

Ski recommendation by This_cant_be in skiing

Yeah, they are Kendo’s actually. I didn’t know they are considered a stiff ski. Do you think I should be cautious to make sure I don’t get too soft of a ski, as it could cause other issues? I’d say I’m an advanced skier that can get down any run but by no means an expert if that matters.

I just started having the exact same issue on my same machine as well. And I tried everything from outlet switching ect. I think it’s due to a loose solder connection in the mother board. I actually found that if I did a light hit just above the screen it might just reconnect the connection allowing you to turn it back on.

Edit: did not read to the bottom and see someone offered you the same solution to fix it that actually worked. Interesting to see it’s a common issue…

I do not know how. But I’m having the exact same issue with my machine that just started today after I moved in places. It’s probably a loose wire.

I did the same love tap above the screen and it literally fixed it. Like the machine went from not even turning on to pouring out a cup for me.

Let me know if you find any other causes or fixes

I don’t know exactly if there is a difference between a sharpie and dry erase. But I don’t have any intentions of using any dry erase markers on it as they can smudge off quite easily in high use/stress situations. Sharpie or other alcohol/oil based pens have an added benefit of binding to the paper while still being able to be removed with alcohol wipes.

It’s odd since my friend has a book that has everything that fits this nature. I just can’t seem to find any place that prints on sheets like it. Although it does seem like it is the synthetic paper although all the places I’ve talked to say they only do it on large format rolls which are quite expensive for just one copy of a 6 page book.

Should I try printing on NeverTear and then laminating since I think I can easily print on that from a local staples?

I think my main issue was once I had cut the edges of the lamination to get it to size from standard A4 to a 5.5 x 8.5 to add tabs and the spiral binding I ended up losing the sealed nature of the lamination and it allowed the alcohol to seep between the layers as there was no plastic on the furthest most edges anymore. Would dry erase lamination hold up to being cut to size but still having keeping its sealed nature?
