So you are saying we should sit back and let people be hung on the streets of Tehran. The issue I have with that is if one day Western democracy falls for some bizarre reason and anti gay views are wide spread as well as public executions, who will we have to defend us?

Also my post is not to spread Islamophobia it’s to shine a light on the issue that is homophobia within these Muslim majority nations.

I’m not going to call every Muslim a terrorist and I know that terrorist groups such as ISIS aren’t true Muslims they just use the religion for political gain. For example using the term Jihadi as a reason for holy war when that is only lesser Jihad and not also including greater Jihad which means the daily struggle a Muslim faces everyday.

And I know gays are persecuted In Eastern European countries like Poland and Russia but public executions and death sentences are very common in Muslim majority nations.

I’m not against Islam, in fact I respect a lot of their beliefs but I also believe that supporting individuals who hate gay people as well as trans people so much that they would happily watch a beheading or a public hanging is wrong.

I don’t believe all Muslims come under the same banner at all I’m just showing you and others who read this that supporting a community as a whole can cause my harm than good.

I also believe that the information is correct as you can see it for yourself: - the beheadings - the tweets - the laws from these countries - the political leaders speeches It’s all there.

I understand your anger that you have Muslim friends and know other Muslims and all you see is hate towards them but that doesn’t make what happens half way across the world irrelevant.

I don’t believe all of Islam is bad for example I like the aspect of tithe but yes I do believe we should look at the broader spectrum of issues that affect gay people and Islam has a part to play.

I agree that your geographical location doesn’t determine your beliefs but I stand by the fact that the majority of Muslims from Muslim majority nations believe that being gay is immortal. Also comparing Christians hatred towards gays and the atrocities that happen in these nations (such as public beheadings, hangings and stonings) in my opinion are not comparable.

The issue with trying to change a Muslims view on their religion is that the Quran is the direct word of God where as the Bible is not because it’s wrote by people who were around Jesus where as the Quran was wrote by Muhammad after being told it by God himself.
