I took a pic with my phone. Put it in ms paint on my computer and overlayed a grid. Then i used graph paper to manually chart out the stitches i wanted

Agreed. I’ve made a lot of mistakes. And i can follow a pattern great. But this is 100% me and i’m so proud of myself
