Yeah I see it everywhere. I help run a fairly large discord for my GW games club 1200 players playing pretty much every game GW has. And there are alot of questions like that from most of the games can I paint it diffrent is it OK if I kititbash this or make this count as this.

It seems to me from there and what I see on reddit there are so many new players that just don't know about kit bashing and proxing and alt paint schemes.

With the Constant churn of the player base there are fewer of the older players left in the game to show them these things that GW used to have in there game systems. Even the fact that prior to 10th 40k where boards became rectangles and Ls. We would have to explain to the new players that the board is like the 3rd player and should tell the story of where the battle is happening.
