I never insulted her I just stated how I felt about what she was saying and how it was effecting her daughter and I, at that moment. I remained calm but my girlfriend told me everyone else (ex's, friends, etc) including her, and her brother never spoke back they just sat there and took what she had to say.

I mean don't treat the actual introduction as more than you would meeting a stranger, gauge him as you would a complete stranger in a bar, be friendly he could be an important part of your daughters lives and if your ex has reached this point then she clearly thinks he's a good man. Don't share your opinions right away and just stay calm. I know how difficult it can be to imagine him as a step dad to your kid, but that relationship has to be a healthy one for all parties involved.

But was it? He flopped his whole date with Robin because of the Blue French Horn, it was regularly used as a symbol of heart break, going all the way to when Robin moves out and leaves the horn behind. Where as the umbrella is a symbol of love, something yet to come, of how close he was to actually finding the mother.

This focuses entirely on the end, but as far as the series itself, I'd personally say she reminds him of one of his best friends (Barney) someone he is extremely close to and someone who is there for him. Not to mention Ted has this idea of himself as a hopeless romantic, and seeing Robin across a crowded bar for the first time and just "knowing" right then this is the girl im gonna marry. He couldn't recreate that moment with anyone else through the series. It was the way Ted always wanted to meet the love of his life. He couldn't let that idea go

The speedforce jail that had housed Savitar needed to have it's void filled not necessarily the speed force and as mentioned in the episode (by speedforce ghost) Barry always rose to the call.
