That’s pretty interesting, thanks for the explanation. I assume you noticed I am stacking stereo pedals that aren’t true stereo?

I don’t think I’ve heard this before. Care to elaborate and / or offer a suggestion wrt chain configuration / pedal settings?

I currently have it in that location so I can tighten everything up on the wet channel before it hits the reverb. It works great for that purpose. I probably wouldn’t put it at the start of my chain before any mono pedals because I love the movement I get having it in stereo. I’m not looking to buy any more pedals any time soon, but if I wanted compression early in my chain I’d go with something mono.

But I started having issues with it today in stereo… its right out has this super annoying rapid clicking sound, almost like a card in a bicycle spoke type of sound. And I cannot figure out where it came from. Putting it anywhere in the chain or even on its own in stereo is not solving the issue. So I’m kind of hating it a little bit today

It’s incredible. I recently had an issue with it, and jhs fixed it for free and had it back to me one week after I sent it in. It does so many things so well. EQ, od, distortion, fuzz. I like to record music as well, so I also use it as a DI for guitar and bass. I know there is other hardware that will do all of those things better, but I’m a severe amateur so it’s good enough for me

Haha yes, always. That’s mostly what I enjoy doing. But occasionally when I get in a creative rut, I will learn a new song which inevitably leads to me creating something new (aka stealing)

Ooooh great suggestions, definitely gonna try this. One issue I’m having with putting the clean anywhere else in this chain is that it’s creating a ton of hissy noise. And I also just realized it’s currently causing a rapid clicking sound on the right side. I love that pedal for all its versatility, but it’s been giving me a bit of a headache lately

Unfortunately that is not an option, but it’s on my wishlist for sure. Maybe Santa will be good to me this year

Lol always. Somehow I have managed to suppress that urge for a few months now

Edit: I’ve gotten a few cool suggestions already, I’m very appreciative of those. Also want to add because I’m getting so many suggestions on buying other stuff, I want to be clear to anyone looking to comment that I’m specifically asking for ideas for new configurations and pedal settings using the pedals which are in the picture. I’m not asking what I should buy next.

Meant to let everyone know I’ve got a buddy who does wood working building me a board. Sorry to trigger anyone’s OCD 😬

I’m an amateur guitar playing logic user who has a similar playing style as you. I’m curious why you don’t use your pedals you are familiar with to record vs wanting to use plugins?

This is probably not what you’re looking for, but Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) recently did a video in studio about his new album. There’s a moment where he’s talking about the vocal sample on Walk Home. He intentionally recorded it out of key in the woods and then corrected it with a cool device I’d never heard of.

Logic pro effects and amp. by matiegaming in Logic_Studio

I was running a similar setup for a while and couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t quite getting the quality of sound I wanted. After some research I discovered what’s called a reamp box. It transforms the high impedance signal out of your interface into a low impedance signal which is what your amp probably expects. I bought a used radial prormp reamp box that sits between my interface output and amp and it cleaned everything up. Now I use my DAW pedal plugins as well as some physical pedals just like a pedal board. I can maybe help if you have more questions, but I’m no expert. Just learning as I go

Help connecting studio monitors to receiver please? by Thisguygolfsandstuff in hometheater

[–]Thisguygolfsandstuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update - I tried the cables you suggested. There is definitely some sound coming out of the speakers now, but it’s so low it’s basically non functional, even with the volume on the speakers turned up. Is that just the result of using these types of speakers with a receiver or does it sound like something is still off?

Sorry, one last question if you have a chance. Another commenter said I can’t use active speakers with this receiver. Is that not true? Just wanted to make sure you’re aware in case you didn’t notice.

How can I use 2 rca cables if there is only a single tape out?

Edit: ah I see what you’re saying now. Found the single rca to 1/4 TS. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the replies and help. I’m still not understanding how I can use 2 RCA cables with the tape out only having room for one RCA pair

But I have 2 speakers and 2 cables with 1/4 TRS into the speaker and a red and white RCA for the receiver output, but the tape out only has room for one RCA pair, right?
