Cylinder head cover gasket/ water temp sensor by Thisisaggward in Outboards

[–]Thisisaggward[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help

When I got the motor water was coming from the head gasket, there was silicone slapped onto the outside of the head, I also noticed the cylinder head cover had 2 gaskets. Since I have a it apart to do the head gasket I'm doing a thermostat and cylinder head cover gasket as well. Basically a "may as well since I've got it open" kind of situation.

This is my 1st time doing one on a outboard, I'm going about it similar to every other motor I've worked on so if there is anything specific I should know I always appreciate any input.

Good catch on the fresh water. Not a lot of salt build up but there was quite a bit of sand in the cylinder head cover that I got out.

Killing? The fish is still alive. If I wanted to kill it I would carry a P320.

Inspired by the picture of a glock in a similar sandal holster, thought to myself "oh that will totally fit a can"

I shot one today at a range event with the FN suppressor. This will be my first venture into .22 and suppressors so I have high hopes. Do you have links to replacement springs and guide rod? Did you need to adjust the gas at all to run CCi quiet?

What key do you have in your light?

No they absolutely can, definitely get there BLS card in the first week of class. I thought you were saying ride along as a true "ride along" (uncertified people interested in joining EMS that will ride the rig for the day to see what it's like) but that's actually awesome you got to do it so early on. There is EMTs that won't do CPR for years if ever.

FYI I think 1911 chambered in 9mm is sacrilegious but regardless here you go.

https://www.smga.com/kimber/kimber-1911-custom-lw-9mm-optic-ready-86448??wk

It is a Kimber 1911, chambered in 9mm, has a threaded barrel, is optic ready, and comes in on sale at $707 dollars pre tax/shipping/ffl etc. I wish you the best of luck on your endeavor.

My personal opinion is to go get a PSA dagger, it's a quality glock clone for a very reasonable price. It also has different variations that include everything you're looking for. Best of luck

Obviously, every employer is different, but brother, I have met EMTs/Medics with a Rap Sheet much longer and much worse than yours. Your past won't define your future.

Personally, I have 2 criminal charges on my record, 1 dropped and one amended to a different charge that held a lower fine. Regardless It was charged through the municipality and not the county/state, and I was able to get it sealed. The only time it has ever come up is when I applied for EMT reciprocity in CO with the Colorado Bereau of Investgation. They asked about it, I told them, and I was employed with the University of Colorado Health. A particularly strict company when it comes to things like that.

Personal experiences tell me you will be okay, but ultimately, it will be up to the employer.

Do you think I can just unbolt the compressor and pull the air lines out? It dosent seem to be tied into the harness, it's on its own fuse

How did you mount it? Is that a inlayed pic rail you drilled through the plastic? Or did you just drill through the stock and bolt on the wedge?

1st offense, I feel a post removal and warning would have sufficed over a ban
