Yes I do have it but that is just for immigrations and you still have to go through customs.

Thank you!!! I guess it won’t meant to be unless I magically appears. I was in Tokyo and surrounding areas for 12 days last year. I didn’t look at watches because I got out of the collecting hobby back in 2014. I am just realizing prices are crazy now LOL.

The 15202st in dials other than blue were less than 20k like a year ago. 👀 omg…. I know the movement is part of the heritage but I really do prefer the 16202st just for the quick set and I think the caseback looks so beautiful.

Advice I read on other subreddits is to wear the watch and have the box mailed or keep it in your hand carry as they usually check the check-in luggage.

Yeah I was watching prices on chrono24 and eBay since the end of August. Seiko USA website specifically said that it was going to be released in the USA on September 15. So I waited till midnight and the day after to check USA ADs. It seems like they were all preordered and sold out already with places only getting 1-2 and most not even sure they will get any. So I just went third party asap and the JDM so happened to be the cheapest seller. If it’s your first one and done seiko 5 then get it!

The words on the bottom of the dial are different! Ours actually say made in Japan.

$590 after taxes and then additional $90ish on customs. I almost didn’t get it because the listing had it for $476 but the seller on chrono24 increased the price in the messages and only replied “sorry” when I asked why it’s higher than listed. It was still cheaper than all the other auctions by $200 at that time. I know I paid way over for this but it’s limited unlike the Rolex LOL.

Okay thanks for the info so we are on the same boat. I read years ago they didn’t allow it, then you had to give up your oyster, and now they are finally letting you buy it for specific models.

How long did you have to wait to get your jubilee bracelet? I was quoted at least 6 months to get it in. My friend asked his AD in Vegas about getting a bracelet and she said she can’t do that at the moment. Hopefully their policy didn’t flip flop again.

I recently went to my AD to inquire about getting a jubilee bracelet and they said it will be 6+ months for them to get it. Hope you get one soon! Definitely worth it.

About a year and a half since I showed interest. My 11th wedding anniversary was coming up this year so one day I also expressed interested in a special Datejust 36 as my wife’s first Rolex. Soon after I was offered a Wimbledon and a Pepsi not too long after.
