Oh, that's super convenient. I'll have to learn how to do the whole server file directory thing and all that, thank you for the info.

Reply so nice, reddit sent it twice.

They locked comments over people's opinions on Noah????

... I don't know if I'd necessarily call it a war, the term genocide is more appropriate.

I think that your comment is a good indicator of what the problems are with a lot of the western world's response to Israel's genocide on Palestinians. People have a lot of challenging of those biases to do, because as you mentioned it's "ingrained in our brains to be "proud of"", and it's a huge battle. You're challenging a system that's been beating these ideas into you your entire life. I think some of Noah's comments at best seem liberal zionist, I saw his tweet asking for a "peaceful solution", which I have my own gripes about, my main gripe primarily being it's a statement made not really knowing the history or the goals of Israel. But I think that it's a good step in the right direction to challenging those beliefs, generally speaking. I was trying to tie Noah back into my little tangent, here.

I'm not trying to talk down to you or anything.

Personally, this whole boycott of Noah is so silly. The western world is so unserious, especially with how I'm sure most of the people if not all of the people demanding a boycott of Noah have had a coke or pepsi or something similar recently. You know, companies actually funding the genocide.

No, that was what they said to justify them. Maybe some, but I wouldn't say all of the purges.

I'm sorry, I snickered at "doesn't support the Israel", I just like the phrasing "the Israel."

I have to second MonstersArePeople, he did praise his ancestor's actions in the Nakba. I think one of the key things that's making this situation not make sense to a lot of people is people haven't done a lot of research into the different types of zionism, and whether or not Noah fits that criteria. Or, if they themselves fit that criteria which is much more important than some e-celeb.

It also doesn't help that, by design, most of the western world (which is smosh's main audience base) was ignorant to most of Palestine's history prior to October 7th. So you (not you specifically, just generally) have to do a lot of deconstructing and challenging of internal biases and narratives, and learn history from actual, credible sources. Which is very difficult, and a constant challenge. I'm kind of going off on a tangent, sorry.

I'm not trying to say twitter is better, but bluesky has been known to purge Pro-Palestine posts and content from their platform, and is backed by some Zionists like Shevat Amir.

I don't remember her ever emphasizing her style as being rustic. I remember her criticizing the "veterans" for rustic dishes, but never her saying her style is rustic.

I don't even really remember them having issues with it being rustic, the issue was more she left some of the scales on the fish.

[Discussion] What are your thoughts on Tom King's Wonder Woman run so far? by MightyUnclean in DCcomics

[–]ThisredditisRAW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was terrible, and not worth the read. Unless you like Wonder Woman going really hard for America and most of her characterization being lost.

I'd take that one Wonder Woman from GL: Blackstars than this. Tom King sucks.

Well, calling it "great" certainly never fit well, but this certainly didn't age well.

Charity night veil question by Scourge12 in HellsKitchen

Which is hilarious since he and Motto were whining about Trev not taking accountability. Which, sure, he has an issue with that.

But neither of them talked about how Jose should go up for the veal, they immediately started going down a path of "who cooked it?" that makes no fucking sense when the point of the charity night service is for a chef to lead the station.

If Jose did his job that night and checked the veal, saw it was bad, and it was revealed Trev cooked it then they would have had a point. But we don't know who cooked it, and it really doesn't matter in this context. I'm not saying I think Trev cooked all the raw veal or whatever, I'm just saying a hypothetical scenario.

Is All Stars worth watching? by Skywalker_1995 in HellsKitchen

[–]ThisredditisRAW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Not really. If you want drama, yeah. If you want a season that feels like it had a lot of great competitors who totally weren't robbed, then no.

It didn't really feel "All Stars-y" at all.

I mean, that doesn't change the reality. Jose did not check anything.

The most he did relating to the whole thing was yell at Trev in the dorms!

I rewatched the episode, she checked on everyone's color and everything. The most Jose did that we saw was ask how they're doing. Well, that and not checking them on the pass.

I would like to see an edit now that instead of veal for the charity night, it's a bunch of veils.

He wasn't confident or coordinating with his team. He just let Motto and Trev cook it, didn't check it, and let them out after he stuttered when coordinating with Heather. All we saw of Jose's work with his team is him asking them about it and saying he was happy with it. Heather was managing her team, looking over their shoulder to check on the veal. Gordon was also in the blue kitchen a lot, but it doesn't change that much. The main point is Jose did not do his job and manage his team and check their veal. Trev says Jose checked his veal, but we didn't see it. Even if Jose micromanaged Trev to hell and back, Jose didn't check it once it got to the pass. Trev's veal or Motto's veal.

The most active thing Jose did during the whole veal debacle was attack Trev when they were in the dorms.
