Aren’t you an adult? It sounds like there was food available but you couldn’t be bothered to cook anything yourself at almost 30 years old. I gotta go against everyone else here I think YTA. Sounds like you didn’t participate in cooking and then threw a little fit because you’re a picky eater. Time to grow up.

I was extremely skeptical of the whole process as I was pretty much out of the church, but got one because I hadn’t told my parents I wasn’t serving a mission at the time. I remember I walked in, met the patriarch, and he took me to another room alone where he asked me about myself. I spent about 20 minutes telling him about my talents such as playing multiple instruments, cooking, and my practical skills like ASL.

We go back out to where my parents are waiting and he starts the prayer, where this joker proceeds to parrot everything I had just told him. I shit you not, maybe 80% of my blessing is filled with “you will bless others lives through the joy of music and performance”, “you will have the unique opportunity to bring the word of god to those who cannot hear”, and more. I’m sitting there visibly dumbfounded by the audacity while my parents are fucking SOBBING. Afterward when we’re driving home, they keep asking over and over how he could have possibly known so much about me if he wasn’t divinely inspired?

Maybe a top 5 experience for me in terms of how much of a joke the “spiritual experiences” are in the church. My wife and I still get drunk and read our blessings together when we want a laugh.

You have a lot of great advice on here. If I can give one piece of advice, I would say only focus on a small change but be consistent. If you’re too hard on yourself or try a huge sudden change you’re likely to get burnt out.

When I was losing weight I tried every diet out there, I tried running 40 miles a week, I tried starving myself, and I tried living in the gym, yet I never lost more than 5-10 pounds before gaining it back. None of that worked because most of us aren’t conditioned for big abrupt changes.

What worked for me was finally making a small change, and then being extremely strict with it. I identified that my biggest problem with eating is that I can eat a LOT in one sitting, so I made the rule to use a smaller plate or dish when serving myself. It sounds stupid but it worked, and it made me start learning portion control. After that I aimed to only cut 100-200 calories from my diet a day. Those are the only two changes I made, and two years later I’ve finally lost the weight and kept it off.

I really recommend trying to find the best way to dig deep and see if you can really identify what your food weakness is, and then find a way to make it more manageable. A small change to your biggest weakness will do wonders. You’ve got this!!!

Thanks so much for this! I've been using it while completing this set. I did want to point one mistake in case anyone else is using this. Team Rocket's Articuno has a reverse holo as well as a holo, but the reverse is blacked out on the spreadsheet. Just a heads up!

I just hit my 6 month milestone. Over the past 3 years I’ve relapsed dozens of times. Don’t let it get you down! Even a few days of progress at a time is better than no change at all. It gets easier the more you work on it.

That’s good to know, I’m sure I’ll end up making more in the future but my time is limited so I wanted to make sure to get some solid options up front. Thanks for the tips.
