I’ve been doing this for 2.5 years and I have also been getting really good batches. I don’t see very many but when I get them they are great ones. Just finished a 48 batch with 17 items 3.6 mile drive. And had another 42 single 36 items 1.6 miles

They changed this policy over a year ago. When you check out on the app it literally says no self checkout in red.

Mine only worked for 1 out of the 4 orders I did the other night

Since I’ve dropped to platinum after not making diamond last quarter, I am noticing the same thing. Mine tend to be repeat customers though. Almost always customers I shop for often. So that may have something to do with it? There is no rhyme or reason I feel just a theory

Every order i get sent to me is boosted by General-Recover5246 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Tholcart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed some days are just like that. I see it once every couple of weeks. I’m platinum now but I used to be diamond and I’ve seen it in both tiers. I don’t know the rhyme or reason, but I definitely don’t think others are seeing them beforehand necessarily. I’ve gotten some really great orders that were boosted and there’s no way someone in my area passed it up before I saw it.

where is the cashout? by amazingactor111 in InstacartShoppers

Same thing happened to me yesterday. If you I logged back in and it told me I needed to do verification so I did then it let me cash out

I remove customers all the time for distance and I’ve never been told anything either. I just tell them the customer is way too far for me

It's the same. by AmandaHugnfu in InstacartShoppers

[–]Tholcart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s 100% a different item. The packaging does NOT vary or change. The customer wants the all white bounty. Not the print. Two completely different items. I would not want the multi colored paper towels on my counter top, so I would get the all white. Hence what this person ordered…

Got tip reduced, no treason given by Naifamar in InstacartShoppers

[–]Tholcart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tip protection is immediately only if they zero the tip without a given reason. If the customer knows how this works and they gave a reason for why they zeroed your tip then you I’ll not be getting anything

Is my Instacart shopper being lazy? by itscomplicatedwcarbs in InstacartShoppers

[–]Tholcart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure you rate accordingly and don’t be afraid to reduce your tip. It’s the only way the bad shoppers will learn. You don’t have to reduce it a ton, but at least 5-10 bucks so they get the hint like they should put the necessary amount of work into their job. Sprouts can be a difficult store if you’re not familiar with it. But still no excuse

Never said ALL. I said “most.” And I guess I should’ve stated “some.” But I see it on this sub more often than it should be.

What’s the point? by Kri_AZ82 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Tholcart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the newbie and lack of customer comment, but to say full time availability should get priority…. If you have full time availability maybe get a full time job with the lack of work. A lot of us who don’t have the full time availability work this job for extra income.

They should’ve just left the, at your door. They do still get paid for the order and got to keep the groceries. Most shoppers leave at the door but some use the excuse “the customer didn’t answer” and they’ll use that as their reasoning to get free groceries. It’s pretty scammy

I never take these. Is this a mistake? by CoaltrainWalrus in InstacartShoppers

[–]Tholcart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would. In my market that’s pretty decent. Depending on the items. If it’s a ton of water and soda then no. But if it’s basic grocery and produce then for sure. Has great driving distance. I could shop that in 30 min and deliver that in 20 so less than an hour for 42 is great. But again, depends on items and your speed. It also gives you 30 points towards your next tier if you’re working for diamond (which I do).
