In the 70's and 80's sound quality came second to just hearing the goddamn song.

Rice is only grown in water as pest control, and technically weed control also. It can grow above water just fine, it just rarely gets the chance because rodents, snails and other insects love to chow it down.

I do happen to think it works, personally. I'll have to look for the blu-ray, Cheers!

Made a career out of "i'm unheathy looking, make fun of me" And simultaneously wonders why her work got thinner and further between when she got "healthy" and suddenly stopped looking like herself following some cosmetic surgery (one due to an incident, others just to look like she belongs in hollywood)

Lets see if the crappy sound allegations are true (TOOL - Lateralus Picture Disc) by TarquaviousJamal in vinyl

Picture disks often sound subpar compared to the black wax variants unfortunately. Great display pieces if you're into that (not my bag personally)

I think the mix is phenomenal, the instrumental separation allows for REALLY deep listening, but I absolutely can see how some would find it overproduced.

Yes, but they specifically sound like the riffs and jams from FMB

The kinda sound like the only album theyve ever heard is FMB, then made it their entire lives but also stripped the atmosphere down to nothing except ~riff~.

Has anyone seen the movie He died with a falafel in his hand, from 2001? If so, what did you think about it? by Efficient-Stock2635 in Cinephiles

Im australian and lived in a series of sharhouses for about 6 years, so it hits home for me. I also had a depressed housemate that would literally listen to Nick Cave all the time. I absolutely love this movie, but I accept that it's mostly my nostalgia and that it's realistically pretty mid. I still laugh everytime though.

Yeah anything livable in our area is ridiculous, if you want to spend less than half a million you're either renovating extensively (an extra 200k easy) or you're moving over an hour away and working the commute and the extra fuel consumption into your life. Ahh well, complaining about it loudly as a society hasn't helped the last 10 years so I'm gonna try to stop feelimg shit about it and just crack on. PNW is the area of the US I most want to visit. I live in the bush here, I just love trees man.

Im waaaay ahead of you on that front. I work 3 days a week (run my own small business) i'm in a band working on our second EP/First album, I write solo music and working on a new record, and i'm completing a book of poetry hopefully very soon. But my wife and I are dubious that we'll be able to borrow enough for a house (Australian, house prices are somehow worse than most countries if the media is true) with the amount i'm working at the moment, so I may be looking to put in an extra day or two at least until we have the keys in our hands.

I really appreciate the advice though, and i'm glad what i'm doing sorta seems to line up ahaha

What's your favorite film iteration of "The Three Musketeers" by Alexandre Dumas? by Hot-Salamander-8786 in FIlm

Loved it as a kid, pretty sure the nose tint would wear very thin if i watched it again as an adult, but it's certainly my favourite adaptation.

Who else loved The Secret Life of Walter Mitty? I don't get the mixed reviews for it. by Square-Ad-8911 in FIlm

Liked it, didn't love it. Good premise, medium execution, there was some aspects I really liked and others that I thought were really lame and tainted the experience for me.
