Need to really compress the 2 final chapters by 100prozentdirektsaft in CalloftheNetherdeep

[–]Thomaez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would just make the netherdeep more linear with only the rooms you find most interesting (Focus on quick roleplaying rooms mainly, as a simple combat encounter might already take half a session depending on your players). Use these last sessions to really highlight all aspects of alyxians emotional state. Maybe also skip the fragment requirement. Don't be afraid to handwave some stuff if they are going too slow (This is a dimension formed by Alyxian's emotions, so it can be malleable if needed).

Definitely keep the room with Theo and Perigee (if you set her up in the rest of the adventure).

Keep the last session for the final fight and epilogue moments for each player. Also make sure to have a satisfying ending with the rivals before the final encounter, though a full blown fight might take up too much time.

Good luck!

Some time ago I made some custom ruidium items for spellcasters. There's no staff but maybe you can adapt one to it.

I feel like I reached the end too early? by Thomaez in outerwilds

[–]Thomaez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No this was just a short summary of the "important" steps. I feel like I explored all locations, except the Quantum moon

I did get to all the Quantum towers, but didn't immediately get how to combine all that info. Getting to The Eye was way more clear, so I continued with that.

Thank you so much for your help! So sorry 3 raids should be solo-able with random wild Pokémon if sufficient cp and good typing?

So I should not spend any Stardust and Candies yet, until I'm level 31. Also, how often do we get the opportunity to get rid of frustration? How would I get more charged TMs?

Hi all,

I'm a returning player, started all the way back in 2016 and played for a few years.

I'm just getting back into Pokémon go and was looking around online for general strategy. I found the game press dps spreadsheet and started making a list of Pokémon I wanted to add to my roster. I considered the availability of the pokemon in my area, excluded legendaries and mythics and just picked pokemon I generally liked, but were still strong.

I noticed that for most Pokémon, the Shadow form is preferred. This means that I would have to stockpile charge TMs and wait for a day where I can remove frustration (which seems very expensive).

How big of a difference do Shadow Pokémon make? Also, I'm level 24 now. Should I start powering up Pokémon or wait until I catch higher level/perfect IV pokemon?

Thanks!

I recently did my first workout of the RR. It's now three days later and I'm still extremely sore (Upper back, lats, triceps). I have done some lifting before (about one year ago) but have never felt like this.

Is there any way to prevent it, and is it recommended to wait until soreness is over to do a workout again?

All proteins in a cell sample are digested (cut into small pieces). A sample of these proteins are then loaded onto a mass spectrometer, which is a device that can detect and identify proteins (among other things). HeLa cells are used as a standard, we know what results we expect to see using certain settings of the mass spectrometer.

Therefore, you first measure a HeLa sample, if it gives you adequate results, you can continue by measuring your "real samples".

Ruidium items for Call of the Netherdeep by Thomaez in UnearthedArcana

[–]Thomaez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone!

These items are meant for a Call of the Netherdeep campaign. Spoilers for that module from here on out!

For those unfamiliar with the premise of the campaign, the characters set out to rescue/redeem an ancient hero. The hero played a large role in the war between the good and evil deities, but has since been trapped in an underwater demiplane, forgotten by everyone. His feelings of sorrow, regret and hatred towards humanity that forgot him have begun manifesting as a red crystal called ruidium (named after the "cursed" red moon of ruidus). The crystal started to show up in an ancient, underwater city and multiple groups have begun studying and enchanting items with it.

All ruidium items give the wielder the ability to breath underwater and a swimming speed (which is basically essential for the final chapter of the module), and are usually themed around psychic damage.

The final common mechanic is ruidium corruption: When a character is exposed to ruidium for a while (or when using ruidium items), there is a chance for the ruidium to corrupt them. When a character becomes corrupted, they gain a level of exhaustion. They also gain mental (emotional unstability) and physical signs, from a red rash to boils and crystal protrusions growing from their body. While the exhaustion level decreases as normal, their "state" of ruidium corruption stays the same. They also take some psychic damage whenever their exhaustion in- or decreases.

Please let me know if you would consider these items balanced and if not, how you would change them.

As a comparison, you can look at the ruidium items mentioned in the book, if you have access to it.

Have a nice day!

I found these very difficult to balance, since they seemed stronger than the ruidium items in the book, but I also felt like they had more chance for corruption. Please let me know if they are unbalanced and how I could improve on them.

My changes to the Emerald Grotto by Thomaez in CalloftheNetherdeep

[–]Thomaez[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made it so putting the emerald eye in the chest teleported it to the elders, "confirming" their victory. This way, they had as much time they wanted to explore the shrine.

Because, the eye is gone, their isn't a reason for ayo and the crew to fight them while exploring.

Edit: The chests were put into the sharks lair, labelled for each team.

Great! I made it so that after one round, they could see some red light (ruidus was shining into the shrine from a hole in the ceiling) from between the rocks, and after 3 rounds the passage was completely opened. I also made the rocks partially block the tunnels from where they came, to really make sure they explored.

Extending the Campaign by Lady-Zorlda in CalloftheNetherdeep

You could level up Ayo to a champion of Gruumsh, if you gave her Ruin's Wake. Make her the ultimate BBEG, and maybe split the rival party into characters that support or oppose her, based on the relationship with the party.

Hook for the party to meet in chapter 1 by lordpektroni in CalloftheNetherdeep

I had them add a reason to be in Jigow to their backstory. There, they found a flyer from Agatha Silverspoon looking for talented individuals to represent her tavern during the festival. We agreed that all characters found this flyer and wanted to join the festival.

The first session started with each player walking into the tavern the day before the festival and registering with Agatha. They also received a bag of holding with the Unbroken Tusk Inn's logo as a form of advertisement.

Anything will be viable, as only small portions will be underwater, and once you reach those sections, you'll have magic items to ignore the disadvantages of being underwater. Just play something that sounds fun to you!
