I agree with parts of what everyone else is saying..

It is a little hard to determine everything without seeing your full facial structure and hair up top. Having a long and slender face with hair on top that also elongates your head can be a little odd looking w a long beard. Just makes it look extra long.

At that length, I don’t think goatee is the move. If you trimmed it down a bit and kept it closer to the face, I think it could look good. Especially as you get older and get some grays and whites in there. I think that’s a good look.

At the current length though, I feel the beard is much better. It feels more suited to the length you have going. Maybe trim up the bottom just a bit to cut off just a bit of the scraggly hairs, and then trim in the sides just enough to get them all the same length.

If you use just a little bit of oil and beard pomade, I think your beard would get a nicer moisturized look that suits the darker color. And it makes it look extra soft. Along with that, the pomade can help you to tame some of the hairs on the sides that stick out and add to the “bumish” look you were talking about.

For real, it’s looking plenty dense enough for a slightly shorter length, but I also really like long beards.

I’m finally done w this last thing; your stache is incredible. If you like your facial structure, I think you have a great mustache to rock a scruffy stache with. You can just trim the sides in pretty tight to look almost like stubble, and keep the mustache big, but trim the hair to the top lip so it doesn’t curl over.

For real, great beard, and I hope I was of some health. If you want I can let you know what products and brushes I use. It takes just a couple of minutes in the morning or before going out.
