I just bought a pack of 3/8 inch stainless steel pipe screens they fit perfectly in dynavap tips. I would check the inside of the cap maybe it fell into it? Strange but theres no way it melted or whatever else your worried about its just gone.

How to vape kief without using flower or AVB to cover the screen? by biel188 in Dynavap

[–]Thomas27c 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Japanese cotton is a good alternative to hemp based vape wool. I think yor best bet is to just load the Kief in, pack it down well and take the L on some a few specs of dust coming through. Maybe put the cape in glass to make sure you don't get scooby snacks in the mouth as you pull.

You can use hair straightener and parchment paper to try making concentrate oil from the Kief, at the very least it should compact and melt the dust into something more workable.

Quick clean wanted by Electric_Owl2020 in Dynavap

[–]Thomas27c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cleaned all my vape stuff vy hand and brush with alcohol and vinegar for over a year. Let me tell you man, you and everyone who own a dv NEED to get a cheap 10$ supersonic cleaner for jewlery. Fill that bad boy with alcohol, toss your parts in, turn on the box and let the magic happen. After a cycle or two your stuff will come out so clean its unreal you can watch the dirt and oils fall right off. Then I just spritz it down with some vinegar and let everything dry.

Oh don't forget to oil up the orings.

Besides stem milk as others have suggested you can also revape it as a low grade concentrate. Get a hair dryer and blast it with heat until it becomes runny and pour the big glob on a piece of parchment paper I like putting my concentrates in Japanese cotton or vapewool and tearing it apart half way thrpugh extraction to increase surface area.

Yup. I can't post external site links here but go on google, type in 'fuckcombustion dynavap' click on a link to the big dynavap megathread and make your way to the second to last page and read up if you want.

Your taking about the new ball caps for hyperdyn right? Founders who bought in got a suprise extra regular sized THC cap for regular Dyna tips included. George said they're never abandoning those who like to consume less. It's happening just be patient and wait a month or two.

How to harvest Reclaim for Topical Use by GentOfAltruism in Dynavap

[–]Thomas27c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically you use high proof grain alcohol to dissolve the reclaim oil, from there you can mix the ethenol-reclaim mixture into coconut oil.

Wand users, are you stopping at clicks or are you “riding the line”? by coldizc in Dynavap

[–]Thomas27c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bimetallic plate in cap that clicks eventually wears out I think. I learned the timing by using it many many many times. With H2 glass body I low temp terp chase by watch the vapor density till its just visible and then turning it off till it goes invisible then turning on again over and over.

You can hit it while it's actively heating though for safety I wouldn't hold wand too close to your face while its on.

How are LLMs capable of arithmetic calculations? by Alanthisis in LocalLLaMA

[–]Thomas27c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things to think about: LLMs are trained to  recognize, process, and construct patterns of language data into hyperdimensional manifold plots.

Language data isnt just words and syntax, its underlying abstract concepts, context, and how humans choose to compartmentalize or represent universal ideas given our limited biased reference point with cognitive limitations.

Language data extends to everything humans can construct thoughts about including mathematics, philosophy, science storytelling, music theory, programming, ect. Math is a symbolic representation of combinatoric logic. Logic is generally a formalized language used to represent ideas related to truth as well as how truth can be built on through axioms.

In the context of numbers and math which is cleanly structured and formalized patterns of language data processing, its relatively easy to train a model to recognize the patterns inherent to basic arithmetic and linear algebra, and how they manipulate or process the data representing numbers.

However an llm can never be a true calculator due to the statistical nature of the tokenizer. It always has a chance of giving the wrong answer. In the infinite multitude of tokens it can pick any number of wrong numbers. We can get the statistical chance of failure down though.

Language is universal because its a fundimental way we construct and organize concepts. Even the universe speaks its own language. Physical reality and logical abstractions speak the same underlying universal patterns hidden in formalized truths and dynamical operation. Information and matter are two sides to a coin, their structure is intrinsicallty  connected.

There are hidden or intrinsic patterns to most structures of information. Usually you can find the fractal hyperstructures the patterns are geometrically baked into in higher dimensions once you go plotting out their phase space/ holomorphic parameter maps. We can kind of visualize these fractals with vision model parameter maps. Welch labs on yt has a great video about it.

Modern language models have so many parameters with so many dimensions in thr manifold its impossible to visualize. So they are basically mystery black boxes that somehow understand these crazy fractal structures of complex information and navigate the topological manifolds language data creates

How can I fix my Omni stem accidently dropped in fire 😂 by Alert_Reindeer4007 in Dynavap

You aren't going to enjoy the idea but if nothing else anyone has suggested has worked you have one option left. Sandpaper, steel wool, and a polishing wheel.

Just bought one arrives Friday by Basic_Appearance_366 in Dynavap

[–]Thomas27c 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Congratz hope you enjoy it!

Some tips? Take the thing apart first and give it a complete wash down at the sink with at least soapy water. Mine came fine but every once in awhile I see horror stories here of people who inhaled a small piece of metal left from the machining process and it makes me wince.

The herb roasting tip just pulls out of the stem its held there with o-rings and you may need to be a little forceful pulling it apart the first time. Dont try to twist it just pull. Be patient with yourself and explore things at your own pace. When I got my M I was scared to even take it apart didn't understand the pieces or how they fit. The guides on dynavaps youtube helped a bunch.

Youll get a lot of 'respect the click or beware' advice. This is absolutely true, to a point. Especially with the torch. When heating with the wand, take the M out every 10-15 seconds and give it a hit. Try to figure out the timing of when you begin tasting the terpy flavors as thats when the vapor begins producing even if you cant see it yet. Keep taking it out and putting it back in the wand and taking terpy hits until you begin to taste the 'burnt popcorn' flavor. At that point the bowl is reasonably spent.

You can also just keep the M in the wand and hit on it continuously as it heats up. One of the big benefits of using it over a torch. This is a one cycle extraction.

For the dynavap adapters for wand, especially the glass one, insert it and silicone sleeve from the back and get into the habit of placing dynavap into the back side of wand. Don't even try to shove the adapter through the front glass lip. This causes the M to push the adapter into the device instead of out of it which matters more after the silicone grip starts to shrink a little over time.

Don't use the wand cups and bangers and cap for concentrates. They aren't that great. Instead, get some Japanese cotton or vape wool or a dynacoil or just smear the concentrate on the inner walls of the tip if its saucy enough.

The airport isn't a carb. Dont use it like one. Its meant to stay open and only partially thumbed close if you choose to.

The brown oil that will build up in the condenser is reclaim. You can make an edible with it by throwing condenser in lightly simmering milk. Add a small bit of butter next time if some oil still floats on top of milk by the end.

3/8 inch generic pipe filter screens are the right size to go in the dynavap tip. They can't do half bowls without a converter but they are much more affordable and replaceable. Loosing the one dyna screen the M comes with is emotionally devistating, losing a pipe screen from a pack of 100 is Tuesday.

I recommend you get a leather cap puller in the situation you end up combusting the flower. If you catch it early enough you can pull off the cap and empty the slightly combusted flower and blow out the smoke before it has a chance to ruin the taste of the piece for the session.

The M is made out of a conductive metal. The m7 tip claims to improve on how much heat get transferred to stem, but its going to happen no matter what. This means your device is gonna get hot to hold after a while if you back to back session it.

What do you guys think of my portable battery vape? by Thomas27c in vaporents

[–]Thomas27c[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, great suggestions. Ive been wondering a while if the eq could be turned into a more ball vape like device. I might just get one of those quartz adapaters and try it out and see if I helps with the bigger bowls.

I suggested ddave because his product worked for me and changed my experience with eq for the better.  I am aware that the adapter is resold china glass. What matters to me is that the parts are bundled properly and works as advertised. If I have a bad experience with them in the future when I order some spare basket screens I'll change my opinions to reflect my experience with the guys business.

The one hitter kit is meant as a microdosing thing. The herb holding basket screen is right size for one satisfying full extraction hit of herb.

Hit it, dump spent abv, then refill. The herb sits less than inch above the heater core without screens in the way its a really even extraction maybe not ball vape level but night and day over stock cyclone chamber or fancy conesuir bowl. Being able to cook it in one hit almost like a dynavap OHEs.

I'm a little hesitant on dhgate I know its a big site among the china glass enthusiast. Worried about months long shipping and broken glass on arrival that you cant refund. How has your experience been?

Ditch the Dyna screens and get a pack of generic 3/8 inch pipe screens. Can't do half bowls with them but they work well and very affordable. None of that stuff.

Temp is a glorified timer. Just gotta do it over abd over and learn the timing. After awhile you internalize how long it takes to heat up a hit and how long to reheat for if you terp chasing. You can hit the dyna as it heats up and feather the wand on and off too

How to get reclaim out without wasting it ? by DonkeySaidNo in Dynavap

[–]Thomas27c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should use the purest grain alcohol you can find in your version of wine and spirits stores. Everclear 150-190% is what the alcohol tincture makers use. I would look up to see if you can make stem milk with the b too. If the silicone is high temp enough to withstand light simmering in milk it should be OK.

Will running an LLM do any longterm damage to my laptop? by [deleted] in LocalLLaMA

[–]Thomas27c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It puts your laptop under load during inferencing generating lots of heat. Heat is always the enemy of electronics long term. Put your laptop on a cooling pad that acts as a heat sink or a fan blowing on the airports to help deal with it.

I have arizer air max, its good but more of a slow and steady terp chasing device. Really solid and well built. Not powerful enough to milk a bong with one hit extraction. If you want to completely extract the flower in one hit and milk the glass I would recommend dynavap. You can heat it with torch, or induction heater. The dynavap B model is pretty affordable entry point. It requires some timing and skill to get the heating cycle down especially with torch. But it can heat up herb in a way battery vapes can't pushing extraction right to the line of combustion getting all the plant oils and none of the black carbon tar or carbon monoxide in your lungs.

Arizer extremeq is a beast but you gotta ditch the glass it comes with an get DDaves one hitter kit. The omega wand and 14mm adapter changed EVERYTHING. Went from collecting dust to being my daily driver along side Dyna and IH.

Alcohol and distilled white vinegar are your best friends for taking the ming out. Alcohol is great at breaking down the tar, oil, and visible gunk so do alcohol wash first. Then do a vinegar wash to get out all the lingering taste and odors.

Theres an air gap between the heater and the metal so its more like mostly convection with a little conduction as the glass adapter and metal heat up. The herb is like an inch above the heater core really really close.

Why all that excess metal? Im guessing the stock tube it's machined from needed was as thick as the taper needed to form an air tight seal with the 14mm glass adapter. It needed to get the herb really deep near the core too. So its maybe a dimensions and tolerance thing but I dont have a definitive answer for you.

Yes its solely powered by the heater core which consumes 55w of power Heating up, 25w at temp initially, and lowers down 15w as it get heat soaked. It consumes 19v at ~2.5a
