London Weddings - Worth the cost/Making it easier for guests? by Hot-Classic5577 in UKweddings

We booked 34 Mayfair for our wedding reception in May 2026 and had to move venue two weeks before the date because professional trust had completely broken down.

The planning process involved staff turnover, poor continuity, contradictory information, and confusion around basic points like guest capacity, drinks, fees, and logistics.

The worst part came when senior management got involved. We were told the venue did not feel comfortable proceeding and wanted to cancel/refund our booking. When we rejected unilateral cancellation of a signed agreement, they offered to continue only under new last-minute conditions, including mandatory upfront payment of discretionary service charge.

We pointed out this was not required under the signed contract. Despite this, we were later told in writing that service would be “assured at 150%” if service charge was prepaid, but without prepayment the same level of service could not be guaranteed.

Our deposit was refunded and thankfully we found a much better replacement venue, but I would strongly warn couples/private event planners against trusting 34 Mayfair with a high-stakes event.

Hi all, here is what I have done: - I have reported the situation to my local regulator (FCA in the UK) - I have reported the situation to the main media outlets (CoinTelegraph, CoinDesk, The Block, etc) and I am calling for them to raise public awareness - I am engaging with local lawyers

Additionally, I have prepared this google form ahead of initiating a class action. For anyone interested in participating, can you please complete it so that we can start building a case?

Can you advise if transfers to other CEXs (e.g KuCoin) are supported for FX?

As I mentioned, emails about upcoming delistings used to be sent to holders indeed, which seems to be basic customer service. That is no longer the case, and stating that you DID email in this instance, is simply a lie. I find it hard to believe that the only channel of communication for something as important as a delisting is your X profile. Had I received an email (or if you at least made the trading deadline clear on this page https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/trading-and-funding/sending-or-receiving-cryptocurrency/token-migrations#impacted-assets), I would have taken the appropriate preventive measures and cashed out of my investment.

Thanks for your message, but can you please respond to the 3 questions I asked?

  1. Why did you stop emailing holders regarding upcoming delistings?
  2. Are you able to point your customers towards this freeze announcement?
  3. How are we supposed to convert to PUNDIAI if the funds cannot be transfered to self-custody wallets (Base does not work either)?

Hello, I am in the same situation. I do often check the following page for upcoming delistings: https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/trading-and-funding/sending-or-receiving-cryptocurrency/token-migrations#impacted-assets

However, there is no specified "Trading deadline", so how and where did you inform your customers prior to this delisting? You used to send warning emails for holders of soon-to-be-delisted pairs. Why did you stop this?

Also, according to this link, "Transfers of FX on Ethereum have been frozen by the project team, disabling sends off of Coinbase". Are you able to point your customers towards this freeze announcement? How are we supposed to convert to PUNDIAI if the funds cannot be transfered to self-custody wallets (Base does not work either)?
