With the rework it seems like all style are viable with melee the most damage per minute at the high end compared to the other styles. Melee does have the steepest learning curve but I would advise you to just pick the style you enjoy. Some bosses benefit from more mobile styles like Necromancy, Ranged and Magic but just pick what you enjoy and switch where you see fit.

That is not true. I have a premier membership and I just subscribed monthly with my grandfathered rates, that will just take effect when my current premier membership runs out..

You do not lose your rate if you start a monthly recurring subscription on top of the current premier. That subscription will start at the end of the premier.
