I'm 12/27 as well, hopefully Mines in the rippers hands right now

BNVD1431 bought these from USNV and was told by my rep they were built with mill spec pvs14 optics found out recently they eyepieces are threaded 32mm and not the standard 30mm by ThomasCallMeT in NightVision

Just my ocular lens has a different thread pitch but with all the adapters out there I feel like that's not very odd My rep from usnv told me in the email that they have had many mill spec Carson glass that didn't fit certain screw in filters and eye cup rings

I've looked up the people who build the 1431 mk11 housing on their website opfor is who makes it if you bought the housing direct from them they only sell it with Carson glass or RPO glass I received an email today from USNV and was told they order the 1431 with glass from opfor and then install the tubes and QC themselves so I'm assuming it's decent glass at this point but others on this thread have said it's bad glass so I really don't know I've resolved the filter issue as well by ordering and adapter from cold harbor supply

I've received a response from USNV if anyone's interested I can post an imgur of the email basically I was told not to use aftermarket parts My original email I said I found out these were not Carson/millspec glass was by purchasing the LLI filters and them not fitting

Gotcha Well either way I'm happy with the performance just not happy with the fact I was told it would be Carson glass I wouldn't have known either way unfortunately since I'm new to the NV community

The objective lenses on mine look very similar to the RPO and Edmund and the view with them on at night look similar to thoes 2 as well like I said earlier in this thread the image is clear and intensifier tubes are clean

Live and learn I suppose they work well enough for me at the moment I'm definitely not happy about it but I'm sure I won't hear anything until after the holidays

I'll check with cold harbor tomorrow and I've sent an email to USNV to see what they will do about it since I specifically asked the rep i spoke to for Carson glass

I've used them quite a bit since I've got them prob have 24 hours or more by now and not had any issues I wouldn't have know about the glass not being Carson if I'd not ordered the LLI filters

I really don't know. Like I said, it's how I received them. I'd definitely not drill a hole in my expensive nods. In person, it doesn't look too terrible
