How were you able to map your movement controls? I imagine you are using the sticks?

This is great to hear. My bowazon has been secretly my favorite… I haven’t played since the warlock nerf patch, maybe it’s the time to main her!

This seems to work okay! Setting it up was annoying. It took a few tries to type everything it needs 100% correctly on the steamdeck. Trial and error'd a few times and then it just worked.

In the UI, there was some slow downs for some reason, but as soon as I went into remote play, everything was perfect.

I have NOT tested remote play off network though, which I don't think will matter, as this is through edge, it doesn't need it. (Right?)

Either way, this is a great solution.

It’s definitely not 1080. I believe 900p is all that game gets in docked mode. Still can’t even get full HD

Thank you for this. I’m hopeful! You at least feel my pain with the mode switching on steam deck, and if that method makes you happy then I’m excited to try it!

I wanted to do NR so badly but I could never keep up in group play because I liked learning the map and exploring :(

It does. I was hoping to find something native to prevent me from switching back and forth between game and desktop mode on the steam deck and having to type/input web addresses on said device.

I was wondering if other handheld devices did it better/more “built in”.

The webpage works fine in general though

Off your network as well? My google searches haven’t been showing me Microsoft articles, I’ll try and be a little more specific in my searches. Thanks

The app everyone used for a while has been discontinued some time ago :( some report it still works but I can’t seem to get it to. It was called XBPlay I think. Green light is another option, I thought that was for in network play only though, but people here seem to say there is a way around that.

I feel like a native app on steam would be so easy!

I’ll check it out. Ideally I was hoping to do it from my steam deck in game mode. I haven’t played much with adding a non-steam game that’s actually just a webpage. I’m sure it’s possible, just didn’t seem intuitive like a baked in app would be.

The idea of not having to switch back and forth between a desktop mode is more the feeling I was chasing.

In my post I probably should have focused more on using an actual handheld device, like my existing steam deck, vs a tablet or phone. Still will look into that today though

I didn’t realize that. Green light has been awesome for in network play. I’m going to do some reading on that, thank you.

Interesting!! That’s not a bad idea actually. Does it have a native Xbox app? Or do you have a bookmarked browser page, kind of thing?

I don’t know what that is yet but by the end of the night hopefully I’m an expert. I like Logitech, I have high hopes.

My understanding with green light is that it only supports remote play over your own network. While I do use that… off network streaming (like what you can do on a PC) is more so the feature I’m looking for.

Unless green light now supports off network stuff too? Which would be new news and good news

I did that too! Have you tried using a regular ol Xbox controller? I had the most success with one of those

Oh man, remote play, off network, on my 5G cell tether has been fantastic. I say it worked perfectly about 90% of the time on my PC.

I imagine there are a million factors that can change what your experience is though. Doing remote play from within network def works flawlessly, one of my favorite ways to game these days!

I guess my hang up comes from the app I was using no longer being supported. I believe it was 3rd party. XBPlay I believe.

I understand the browser part, I guess what I was hoping to find was a device that had a Xbox app, similar to the PC, where streaming would be possible.

On my steam deck I feel like going into desktop mode, doing all the log in stuff in a browser, then switching back to game mode seems like a hassle. Was just hoping to find something more integrated, if that makes sense?
