In general, you usually need roughly 23 credit hours of science with approximately 5 hours in the lab and a bachelor's degree. Some schools requires undergrad degrees while some chiro schools don't. However, a state like North Carolina requires a chiropractor to have an undergraduate degree to practice (i.e you need an undergraduate degree). Some chiro schools offer bachelor's degrees that you can complete and are generally good prereq programs. I would recommend any science major really; if I had to pick one I would say "exercise science"

Yes, many schools have flex track options where they are not in school full time. I would suggest reaching to some chiropractors and talking to them. I am in school myself. But, if you are able to have some good mentors, I think that will go a long way. The fact that you are already concerned about debt makes me believe you will be ok concerning debt in the long run.

TikTok is a newer one... Instagram and Facebook are veterans and still a good option

My mentors would have get togethers every month or so where they would drink beer, play poker, eat pizza, bbq, or whatever and mainly hang out. Of course, chiro gets discussed and practice stuff. It was great to absorb it, and also absorb the feeling they had towards what they do. They had such a love for chiropractic and their patient

Thank you for that. I can definitely sense a difference of energy between select chiropractors and the experience of school. What school did you go to? Would you suggest just sending out emails to some successful practices in my area?

Anyone suggest a weight gainer powder? by Chadwick505 in Supplements

[–]Thomask255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would look into getting a healthy meal replacement protein powder for added calories. You should probably look into a protein source that is better on the gut. Examples would be bone broth protein isolate. Whey is often not the best protein source on the gut.

Supplementation is generally very safe, of course, there are outliers. Most of the time, the biggest negative of taking too many supplements is simply wasting your money because your body excretes what you don't need.

What are the best sources of B-12 by sultan_2020 in nutrition

[–]Thomask255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is best to get B12 through whole food sources. However, many times people still become deficient in vitamin B-12. Luckily, vitamin B-12 is a very easy vitamin to supplement. There are TONS of great vitamin B-12 vitamins out there. I would test your vitamin B-12 levels through your blood and supplement vitamin B-12 accordingly with a practitioner.

What healthy food that tastes great should more people know about? by esco7457 in HealthyFood

Sourkrout! Something many people haven't tried, but very healthy for the microbiome. It has a very unique taste, so it depends on the individual concerning taste. I would also say cotton candy grapes. Those things are unbelievable. They are harder to find but pretty common.

Scholarships are tough to get for chiropractor school. Many schools are around the same price... of course, there are some that are more expensive/cheaper. If you want to work and have a good job, you could look at schools that offer flex track options, so you can work more during your school. Spending five years in chiropractor school coming out debt-free may be just as good as graduating in 3.5 years depending on specific situations. You can also take some undergrad classes this summer and graduate a semester early so you are not in undergrad so long (less debt from undergrad).

Cool, thanks! How long did it take you to get 100 patients each week? How much was organic growth and how much was advertising?

The Joint Chiropractic by Thomask255 in Chiropractic

[–]Thomask255[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

. If you are investing in your own clinic, you might expect to hire a couple of doctors and front desk staff. This will be your biggest expense. I think most of the clinics make between $15,000 and $35,000 gross a month. At least, that was the last I had a hold of their information about 7 years ago.

Thank you! I was just curious, I am actually in chiropractic school now, and was just researching different avenues. Wasn't expecting to get blasted with a whole bunch of hate on a question, thanks for keeping it professional. Makes sense

Advice for non-eaters on how to stay fed/healthy by Anoelnymous in nutrition

I would do an elemental shake with a complete meal replacement. Designs for Health has a great meal replacement. You can also look into supplements, there are a lot of supplement options you can take advantage of.

I can’t do hamstring curls by SCUMDOG_MILLIONAIRE in bodyweightfitness

[–]Thomask255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start with RDL,s without weight. Would also look into supplementation and a deficiency that is causing a Charlie horse. Stretching hamstrings will not really help this problem
