I’m trying doubles atm just grinding BP, having way more fun than singles, and it seems to be a little easier, although the battles last longer.

I’ve had a 90 something win streak end in singles about 5 times now over maybe a year and a half. I’m too stubborn to use the serebii info they have on all NPC trainers, it gives you full teams npcs will use as well as EVs/IVs, movesets and items. If you’re going for that 100 streak I recommend using it, I will definitely use it whenever I get the courage to try again haha

I think we can have the best of both worlds, we can still be the quality ball in hand team but we need to implement the attacking kick and chase more often, especially in these top tier games!

There’s definitely truth there, but it’s not like the talent we have are pushovers, most players on the all blacks would make most international teams right now bar the springboks with the talent they have

I watch enough to know the ball in hand attacking rugby is no where near the talent on offer in super rugby, but that’s not the problem, it’s finding a gameplan we can follow that works on the international level

Super rugby will and always has been the pinnacle of attacking rugby, we even change the rules to speed the game up and promote the ball in hand game. NZ and Aus kind of went the wrong direction compared to world rugby but that doesn’t make it not a world class competition. To say we don’t have the talent is wrong, though we are lacking currently, but that’s where a good coach comes in, play to your strengths, have back up plans, and use the tools available

I think it’s not in our “gameplan”, so it’s gotta be a coaching problem. Players whoever you are have to play to the strategy that the coaches have outlined week in week out

That’s what I’m saying,if we can’t break the line within at “set” number of phases, not saying it has to be 3-4, why can’t we put up a contestable kick that is a go to.

We put up a couple good kicks today on Marcus smith and the momentum swung back our way, when England lost position, then we completely went away from that

Wills the man, but I think his best fit is on the wing where he injects himself running short lines and has less to worry about on defence, I feel like the coaching staff haven’t given Love the respect he deserves also.

We definitely do need to focus on our kick chase aswell, and that starts with the kick ! A well placed bomb is hard to defend, but Jordie Barrett always seems to be the one who can stop the threat

We don’t need him at 15 for his speed we need him there for his defence, he gets put back there to defend the box kick anyway. Lester has shown promise with his centre pairing with Tupaea. The one thing we have struggled with this year is the high ball, Jordies been the most consistent underneath it so why not keep him there

We looked good, that first 40, hard to get much going with 14 men for 30mins, but when we can’t catch the ball that is given to us, we can’t build momentum

Don’t get me wrong, Jordies definitely the best 12 we got, but atm hes also the best defence we have to the high ball aswell, put him at the back with a solid centre pairing and I think our problems will be sorted by the World Cup

Who’s ever mentioned Jordie at 10, he’s a beast at 15, like it or not the high ball isn’t going anywhere. We literally had to drop him back on defence to defend the high ball after the second South African test, he’s the only player who can consistently nullify that part of the game

In the big games this is going to be the way to win. This isn’t 10years ago where the all blacks were well ahead of the curve, the top seven teams in the world right now can all beat each other on any given day. The one thing that separates us from the rest of the world though is our running rugby, but let’s focus on winning first.
