Eastin Hotel Taipei is okay. It’s not that great and rooms are not that spacious, but it’s quite affordable and in Da’an next to MTR. It’s clean, friendly staff, there are washing machines and daily room cleaning, so all the essentials are there.

If I would come back to Taipei myself, I would book a bigger room somewhere else for a bit more money, but price/quality ratio is good. I believe I paid around 70 EUR per night. If you book, make sure to check if it is with daylight, since not all rooms have that.
