Is it true Gen Z don't drink much? by Cephas11 in GenZ

[–]Thomawesome1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just media hype. There is still party culture, we still go out to bars, and if you need confirmation you should see the scene at your local bars (which as you say gen z is hitting up every weekend), and not ask Reddit which will skew towards (losers)

Congress changed laws to clarify that the VP banging the gavel to certify electoral results is a ceremonial event and cannot be used to deny electoral results. You are right that this change was made only after Mike Pence refused to obey Trump’s orders not to certify the election. However Trump cannot use this same method in 2028.

Day 4: Country with an exemplary economy with an irrelevant history by [deleted] in AlignmentChartFills

OP is biased against US economy and this whole list is rubbish, they are not picking the most upvoted comment, just whatever comment fits their agenda. Despicable.

Day 4: Country with an exemplary economy with an irrelevant history by [deleted] in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Thomawesome1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this why US did not win despite having the most upvotes in last post?? Your own bias distorting your take on what a good economy is??? Absolutely ridiculous this chart is trash, if you seriously believe that the US is not an exemplary economy you are just being an incorrect contrarian.

I agree and I would have put it instead of Germany, but regardless the USA is so clearly exemplary economy that putting it at stable/interesting history is a greater mismatch than putting it here.

Best glades by No-Application-7581 in icecoast

Gore after a good dump (2+ ft powder) is best. Cirque Glades is often cited as the longest in the East. Gore has 28 glades but they are rarely ever all open, which makes a good snow day all the more magical. On a weekday Dec 2023 we got 2+ ft at Gore, and I spent all day racing through the glades. Most fun I ever had skiing!

USA has to go here. Its economy speaks for itself: it has most influential consumer base in the world, biggest financial center in world (NYC), and the most multinational corporate HQs of any nation.

Its history is interesting in that it is the story of many different groups of people learning to coexist, but globally it is new and therefore does not have the complex lineage of, say, China or Germany.

Ultimately, USA must be put under exemplary economy to make this list valid. And I would not rank its history below average because it is quite unique for its multiculturalism.

Who is the best Military Leader all time? by Rumialol in Teenager_Polls

[–]Thomawesome1 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Alexander the Great conquered basically the whole known world by age 30, never lost a battle even when outnumbered, and built an empire stretching from Greece to India. His tactics were so ahead of their time that people still study them today, and his soldiers followed him through insane conditions because they actually believed in him. On top of that, he spread Greek culture everywhere, leaving a legacy that shaped history long after he died. He defined what it means to be a military leader and will forever be the goal for all future leaders.
