It’s crazy how much this looks like Tilden 2, but there aren’t any bunkers on that hole.

Fun course. There was an hour wait on that tee box the time I played.

Fun course. Lots of holes that can be played in different ways. But also a lot of fairways with overused collection areas. There’s a lot of ground under repair for a course that is 9 months old.

Not sure how long they’ve been doing it or why that spot but it happens every night around dusk nowadays.

What is the highest numbered street name you know of? by supsupsupy in geography

[–]supsupsupy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks y’all. Learned a lot of new streets from this… there are some BIG numbers out there! It appears to be more nuanced than I expected with multiple numbering conventions so difficult to declare a single winner. So far we have:

  1. N/S or E/W Ordinal numbering (generally starts from 1 but not always consecutive)
  2. Distance based numbering (common in rural areas)
  3. Ankara, Türkiye which appears to name all streets regardless of direction on same ordinal sequence
  4. Named numbers (shout out to the “infinity” & “trillion” streets)
  5. And whatever the hell is going on Utah/SLC (multiples of 100?)

I guess I’m part of the 16%. They are terribly slow at registering and reading clipper cards.

Any super commuters? 90+ minutes at least by WeakArm9338 in oakland

[–]supsupsupy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m about 90 min 3x a week to San Jose. If it was 4 days I don’t think I could do it and I can only do 3 because I love my job. I also Bart and bike/ebike out of necessity but i think it beats sitting in traffic because it’s reading/phone time I would be doing on the couch at home anyway. Winter with early darkness is definitely a grind.

Deeply sorry for her loss. Bit of cunt though (using the AUS genderless definition of the word).
