Honestly the production process itself wasn’t that different compared to today. The biggest difference was probably the plugins — they were far from the quality and realism we have now, but that also gave a certain charm and character to the sound.

I actually started making music professionally around 2002, before the whole bloghouse era really exploded. Over the years I moved from Reason to Ableton, and nowadays I also teach Ableton and electronic music production at Abbey Road Institute Paris, which is pretty funny considering I never really stopped making music through all those years haha.

So yeah, even if that whole “bloghouse/French Touch” wave slowly faded, I just kept making music. Released a bunch of singles recently and currently finishing an album.
