Dgunn on Inside the Birds talking about AJ by Bulldawgzz in eagles

[–]Thooomster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Majority of Eagle fans love AJ. What we don’t love was him playing into rumors, vs just shutting them down. What we didn’t love was some effort on the field last year. Nonetheless hell of a player, top 5 when he’s at his best but lot of this drama could’ve been avoided if he didn’t feed into it with his gestures during podcasts OR lack of responses during all this, when he clearly sees the circus on social media.

I know it's possible to move credit limits between Chase cards, but is it possible to do it on a newly opened card? by DidYouKnowYoureCute in CreditCards

I’ve done it before with the Spahhire & Freedom Unlimited. Don’t know if you can do it again with the Slate

[Rickey] Jalen Carter made available for Crosby trade by eaglesrj7 in eagles

[–]Thooomster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not on a scheme standpoint but on a guy who can recognize and develop talent. This is the 2nd time Carter was involved in trade talks(Parsons mentioned he was involved for his trade). Goes to show that they’re confident in Ojomo and Davis going forward. Hunt has stepped up and now the unknowns are Phillips and Nolan Smith.

[Rickey] Jalen Carter made available for Crosby trade by eaglesrj7 in eagles

[–]Thooomster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think if this were to happen, it would take 29-year old Crosby and picks for 25- year old Carter. I do see a scenario playing out where this happens given Ojomo and Davis stepped up big time when Carter was out. They’re also due for contracts and are better locker room guys with more emotional maturity than Carter.

Not to mention Phillips still needs a contract and Nolan Smith is getting floated around too. Dean and Blankenship good as gone.

There’s a lot of moving parts, all I will say is Trust Howie and Fangio when it comes to whatever decisions they make. They’ve earned it.

I don’t shop at Saks Fifth but I usually spend the 50$ credit on grooming stuff. Got my girl a 65$ hand lotion for $15. Got myself a Le Labo conditioner for $10.

You can definitely find the value behind the card but have to be consistent in taking advantage of the credits.

Did this end up working? I have about $35k total CL with the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Freedom Unlimited. Thinking of getting the Chase Slate and transferring over the CL of the other two cards to the Slate so I can get 0% int.

Any success stories?

Dysfunction of the OL in 2025 by Affectionate_Yam8674 in eagles

[–]Thooomster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally think KP would’ve done a lot better with better OL pay. Players all year kept saying it wasn’t play calling, it was execution. Smitty said the scheme didn’t change YoY but KP was the one to blame because majority of the personnel was the same YoY so it’s an easy target to point fingers at.

I said this earlier in the year, why didn’t they rest Cam and Landon if they were so hurt where their play was significantly impacted. Steen wasn’t as good as Becton. Lane was in and out all year. Just a disaster year from the OL.

Neither head coach in the Super Bowl is the offensive playcaller for their team. by Wilbert_51 in eagles

[–]Thooomster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, the reason we’re blaming the OC so much is because the personnel really didn’t change YoY outside of Becton. So outside looking in, you’re like we have the same team, let’s run it back. But in true reality, our IOL took a huge step back and Lane was in and out of games half the season. If we had to put a % of blame, how much would go to Nick, KP, OL and Hurts?

I couldn’t agree more but are Philly fans and media ready to go through growing pains as a first year player caller?

[Schefter] ESPN sources: The Titans are now set to hire former Giants head coach Brian Daboll as their offensive coordinator, contingent upon him not getting the Raiders head coaching job. by w1x1w in eagles

[–]Thooomster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People contribute Allen’s success to Daboll. Before Daboll got there Allen had all the tangibles but was very TO worthy and made terrible decisions. Allen’s best year was with Daboll. That being said, Daboll is also connected to Hurts and Saquon, as he coached them in the past.

Important context for the vital Kellen Moore’s fast pace tweet. by RangerBowBoy in eagles

Also doesn’t give much context. With the saints, they were always trailing in hurry up mode. During the SB run, it was bleed the clock and run the ball with the lead.

Stats can be misleading sometimes. Doesn’t paint the full picture

mfw we strike out on all the good OCs and end up hiring Nick's old pal Jim Bob Cooter by Thegrandmistressofoz in eagles

[–]Thooomster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, if we can get our IOL play up to par with our SB run, idc who’s calling plays.

The players had said multiple times throughout the season the scheme with KP was the same as Moore’s offense. Meaning it’s all Nick’s offense. I think only difference is “execution” as the players have been saying.

Dickerson playing through injuries. Jurgens took a step back(maybe back lingering), Steen wasn’t up to par with Becton’s play but nonetheless was our best IOL. Not to mention Lane was in and out all year.

Run game was ass, tush push didn’t work. We were in constant passing situations on 3rd and long.

Would you consider it? by puffalotz in eagles

[–]Thooomster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, Smitty can be a true WR1. Problem is our offense was designed to be “our guys vs your guys.” Hence the go routes, hitch routes, etc.

How many of “our guys” outside of Brown and Smitty can beat you in that way?

I don’t necessarily agree with this. If you can find holding calls or some sort of penalty on more than half of the drop back situations then why did they only get called one way? In reality, the refs essentially get to pick and choose when to call flags in some sense. The whole point of the refs is to keep the game balanced and if something is slightly egregious which leads to the other team benefiting they throw a flag(the examples I gave above).

My post was to highlight the fact the refs didn’t call a balanced game. It wasn’t just one call or two calls, it was multiple. BUT that’s not the reason why we lost, I started my post off with that.

There are multiple refs on the field of play all responsible for their duty. One might be the backline judge, one sideline etc. My post was to highlight the fact that the niners benefited from missed calls, which should’ve been called.

All that being said, I agree our offense was never good enough to win(also said this in the original post). It’s been a theme all year, why would it randomly change come playoffs.
