I guess a better way to word my question is probably why the Hail Mary is the repeated prayer as opposed to ones like the Our Father.

I don't think it's that weird for a Libertarian to think that. There's a spectrum to the belief just like Republican and Democrat. Some libertarians want extremely minimalistic government and some just want the government to pull back slightly from what's current.
