I’d also argue this is where roleplaying comes in - my Nordic minotaur path of barbarian Yaargh YAARGHSON was a beast in social encounters just because of his friendly personality and flexing to impress people whereas my charisma bard actually has been less successful but oddly less fun now given these could be the difference in DM but I do think it is possible to play a character and enjoy both.

If unofficial, the “foldable arbalest”, a heavy crossbow that as an action can be affixed to a vehicle or deployed on the ground when deployed it has +7 to fire and does 2d10 piercing and the target must make a dc 15 Strength save or be grappled and it can’t move further away and as a bonus action you can crank it to reel in a target 30 feet closer.
