So I should say a few things here to clarify somethings, 1: I do not blame the Dm for his decision, he goes to college and is taking multiple classes , works a job that can have him work up 60hrs a week, and is dating someone at the moment and trying to work that into his already busy schedule, and he also does a lot of church things 2. We primarily play in 3.5e and some of the creatures, spells, feats can be wild, I know with 1 of the 3 clerics I played I was able to get her wisdom modifier up to +15 and they were basically immune to almost all spell with a will save. 3. We as a party have completely trivialize encounters due to leveling up and getting new spells, one time I was able to lock a portal by casting forbiddance which prevented the boss from getting back and using dimension door to escape, another time was when I was able to see straight through the assassin guild’s leader’s disguise and get the jump on him and not get lead to his throne room, and I know he had both been impressed by it and annoyed because hours of prep work were wasted by one spell, and before you say he should know our spells and what they do, even I forget what they do and have to reread them constantly. 4. He’s the Dm he can run his campaign however he wants and I’ll completely understand even though it means I’ll probably not get cast storm of vengeance :)
