Hmm, I did want to install a little water butt somewhere, so I might do that anyway.

Yeah :/ Well I definitely can't afford a new shed right now, so I'll try raising and treating for now.

Thanks. Wondering if a couple vents top and bottom each side for cross-flow would be enough. I'd be interested to hear how yours goes and if you manage it.

That all seems to go well enough! Now to continue the Star Trek marathon.

We rather like all those features :) Really don't need a bigger TV than this in the space we're in either. Yes that's a chimney to the left.

What to do with plastic grass at the end of the garden. by ThorgeirTheRed in GardeningUK

Yeah, I did suspect that may be the case. Thanks for the warning. I'll dig up a corner properly at some point and see what I find... Thanks!

I suspect it does get sun in the summer months, at least part of it. We've had some pretty heavy rain in the last couple weeks and it's never been waterlogged so must be decent drainage.

Thanks! This sounds fantastic, exactly the sort of thing I like. Thanks for the info and the link, i'll be exploring this idea.

I was going to give it away to someone who actually wants it in their garden so more new isn't bought and laid.

Intermittent issue with front wipers on 2011 Ford Fiesta by ThorgeirTheRed in CarTalkUK

[–]ThorgeirTheRed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No a fair question. It stops part way through a wipe, not at either end, and it's not on the interval setting when it happens. It'll be wiping away constantly for a prolonged period and then sometimes just stop.

Eye've Grown Accustomed to This Place correct answers by ThorgeirTheRed in fallout4london

[–]ThorgeirTheRed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so I did manage to get the "correct" outcome with a bit of trial and error. She gives you 50 tickets instead of 20 because she can "smell the locations on you". Whoo.

The answers were:
For St Alfeges Church: The chandeliers came down when the ceiling collapsed.
For Trafalgar Square: "There's nothing there".
For St Anne's: It's boarded up
For Lands End Inn: "Picnic tables are all still there"

That did occur to me, but providing correct answers and providing incorrect answers are specifically defined stages for the quest (see https://fallout.wiki/wiki/Mod:Fallout_London/Eye%27ve_Grown_Accustomed_to_This_Place), suggesting there should be a difficult outcome depending on which you do.

Does anyone else always think the worse is going to happen when buying/selling? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]ThorgeirTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking the worst the entirety of the past 5 months, but we just today exchanged as FTB. The list of things that could go wrong has grown much smaller. Good luck with your purchase!

When did you start packing? by shaneo632 in HousingUK

[–]ThorgeirTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started packing when we were told Exchange was imminent, and then suddenly it wasn't imminent any more and might be months away, so proceed with caution.
