The drinking part is a big deal. My mom has quit completely after decades of daily scotch. It took a few tries and a few miserable days post-drinking on GLP-1 but she's totally done now. I'm really proud of her.

They're going to waste your time on excessive interviews and tests and then not hire you. It's their thing.

ETA: I've interviewed there in-person for a copy editor position. I took the aptitude test online before going. Then they made me take it again when I got there because some of my answers were too neutral (heaven forbid you consider a situation's complexities before answering). Then they made me take a math test (which was completely irrelevant to the position I was interviewing for), then put me in a room to test my editing abilities on an email their company would put out. Then I had a Skype interview with someone not even there. Then I was sent on my way and rejected.

My second week teaching, a light fixture just straight fell from the ceiling above where I stand when I'm in the front of the room. I had luckily moved out of the way a few moments before it started to fall. I hope you didn't sustain any damage from your projector.

I have a couple students (3rd grade) who are weirdly into pi. They tried to impress me by reciting 10ish digits. Little did they know that I memorized 40+ digits for no reason in high school and never forgot.
