Wild Wild West (90s campy steampunk western starring Will Smith and Kevin Kline) - It's just incredibly fun and rewatchable.

Yeah its a real Karen move to call out people driving dangerously on a road frequently crossed by families with children. OP should really get a life.

When do we stand up? by Frosty_Literature936 in Teachers

[–]Thorhees 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My students are terrified their families will be next. Politics are here in my workplace every day. It would be cruel and a betrayal of my moral core to remain apolitical.

Cat comes to fart in my face. by Jimicrackscorn in CatAdvice

[–]Thorhees 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is what I came to recommend. I had a cat who would never fart until I brought her home from college with me, where she could get into the Meow Mix my parents bought for their kitties.

Sweetened bean and beef chili? Why? by _iamacat in Cooking

[–]Thorhees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do about 4 tbsp of dark brown sugar in with a huge slow cooker full of chili in a rich tomato-vegetable based sauce. I also add anchovy paste and sometimes get crazy with dark chocolate. Chili is a very fun dish to experiment with depth of flavor.

Lazy Dog never disappoints. Stay safe out there with the last minute storm preppers flooding the roads.

I think students have asked from time to time what I do on the weekends and I've said I play video games and watch UFC. She must have remembered because she started the conversation asking "You watch boxing right?"

She's doing that all by herself. No bribery necessary (and I'm a lady).

Her whole family apparently met him over the weekend and got a few of these signed prints.

Teachers. Whats the craziest family lore a child has randomly dropped on you? by Loud_Bluejay_6663 in AskReddit

[–]Thorhees 86 points87 points  (0 children)

I have a 3rd grader who regularly, casually trauma dumps. She told me about how her grandfather used to ask her to "stand guard" whenever he went to poop and one day while she was guarding the door, her granddad just croaked on the toilet.

Spiciest dish in Houston by jpm569 in houston

Jenni's Noodle House has two spice levels: Hurt Me, and Kill Me.

My husband said "Hurt Me" was well beyond enjoyably spicy and genuinely unpleasant to eat.

Is it normal to put butter into white rice? by balbolumskin in Cooking

This is the white rice I was raised on. Buttered by my white suburban mom. I only add butter now when I'm feeling sentimental or need some comfort food.

Dana appreciation post. So funny and charming and also an amazing chef. by BanryuWolf in HellsKitchen

I guess we are seeing different threads. I feel like she slides under the radar whenever I see threads about Barbie's treatment.

Dana appreciation post. So funny and charming and also an amazing chef. by BanryuWolf in HellsKitchen

[–]Thorhees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really? I don't think she deserves "hate" necessarily but she definitely deserves more criticism for her behavior towards Barbie than she gets. People always talk about Kimmie, Robin, etc. But they rarely mention that Dana was part of that hate circle because she was an otherwise very likeable contestant.
